Looking at this I realised as internet access improved over the years the less I am familiar with those shows.  I have heard of some but never watched most of them.  Unlike the late 90s for example when I loved the X Files and regularly tuned in, along with Friends.

I've only watched a few of those such as Sopranos and Breaking bad.

I'd guess I've heard of 10%, seen bits of 2%, seen all of 0.01%.

I want to watch the original Dallas again.  Not on torrents that I could find, way too old. Lost forever :search:

For those who like Brody, he stars in Billions.   The opening scene in Season 1 Episode 1 is not something you see everyday on TV.    :shok:

Just snagged Season 1 Episode 1 now Pdoggg thank's for the heads up on it  :drinks:

It's being going for years and I never bothered with it until about 6 weeks ago, now I am absolutely hooked on NCIS. Shows here on a variety of channels so there are about 5 or 6 episodes showing every day. Only problem is the series are all over the place - might be watching series 3 on one channel at 7 o'clock, then on another channel series 12 is showing at 8 o'clock, so I am a bit all over the place. Wouldn't mind trying to download it from the start and get a proper view from the beginning.

It is extremely well produced and acted and storylines keep you engrossed. For seasons 3 and 4 I am watching 2 episodes a night as it is that good.

Yes, I watched season 4 in 2 nights and that was too much. I can hardly remember that season. 2 episodes per night is ideal, imo.

It was produced by Canal+ the same company that had a hand in producing Zero Zero Zero.

I love the Canal+ intro.

Great series but dissapointed with the finale - Season 5.

I fell in love with Nadia the first season.

of Season 1

You're in for a treat. Season 5 is partly set in Cambodia.

Re: Billions. I really tried with this one, but got bored. Its all about money ( like zerozerozero isn't).

That's exactly what I have been doing with "ZeroZeroZero" it's a perfect combination I am on the final two episodes for this evening, it's been really good getting fully engrossed in the story as it unfolds. :drinks:.

Enjoyed Zero, bored with Billions, The Bureau - great - also Spiral, Braquo. both outstanding french cop series. Just watched The Spy with Sacha Baron Cohen - excellent. 4 Blocks - Arab crime in Berlin - very good. Fauda - Palestine - Israeli conflict. Just downloaded 2 seasons HaMidrasha - Israeli secret service thriller. I've no cultural or political leanings to any of these - just like them because much better (IMHO) than anything thrown up by Brit or USA TV. A few exceptions obviously - 'Berlin Station' - pulled after 3 seasons.

Further more - 'Money Heist' - La Casa De Capel - great but dragging it's heels by season 4 - however another 'money-steal' series I watched was 'The Great Heist' season 1. Both of these Spanish ! Enjoyed '4 Seasons Havana' - one long 3 short movies about a Cuban cop. Not giving anything away except - at the end of the day him and his chums used to wind down - drinking rum and listening to Creedence Clearwater Revival. !!!

also Spiral,

I don't have any accounts with pay per view ( Netflix etc) so am relying on free to air stuff. Here in Australia there is a multicultural multilingual public broadcaster SBS which has about 11,000 hours of shows and movies and just so happen to have 7 seasons of Spiral which are available for about 12 months so I'll put that on my ever increasing to watch list.

The ending opened up for another season. She ordered another batch.  Great show, but faded a bit towards the end, imo. The young blonde american kid, the son, is an excellent actor. The Italian grandson wasn't a very good actor, imo.

I tried this one but got bored. Was watching Homeland at the time, the season set in Germany/Berlin, so it became too much German.

That said, Deutschland '83 and '86 are very good. '89 is in the making.( Spoiler alert. Might be about the Wall).

If you really want to dig into Germans, Babylon Berlin was pretty good. Set in the Weimar republic era. Seedy, depraved and brutal but very good stylistic production. Bryan Ferry is on stage in one episode entertaining the nazis.

I agree with you on all counts here,  I noticed the stiff neck gesture in the last scene by the Sister hinting at the Huntingtons disease catching up to Her too.

They're all out there - somewhere. !

I'm watching an old TV series (2008) called 'The Looming Tower' A look at how the rivalry between the CIA and FBI inadvertently set the stage for the tragedy of 9/11 and the war in Afghanistan. Quite good.

I agree. One of the best. It’s so subtle, intelligent and low key. Characters are great. Happy you found it, Tel.
