Petesie, I find your report most informative, as you kbnow I like you bar a lot -spent my birthday there 2 years ago.

Interesting the girl you report on was the one that drove me away in September. Glad Nisa is back in thefold and one or two other ones remind me of what might happen, but sure their eyesight is good so no chance.

Any business has to move with the Times - it is a case of what the customers want not what the owners want.

So much on offer in Patts, the bars have to different like yours is a beer bar, Boom is the Boom,

Sweetheats well they have Jimbo,

TJ many said would die but Em had run it for years so she kept the best of Jim like the cabaret brought back the music and continues to find amazing girls out of Cambodia and of course there are all the dogs,

Katty are small and out the way but have a totally different type of girls who are non-pushy,

Delerious is growing in stature since Herberth recovered from illness,

69 have incrediable girls (but not my scene),

Sensations, well it was great 5 years ago,  time moves on and they back in Action St, I have been in a bit but very few in - times change not all business decisions are good

Not sure of the others as I do not go there.

Some of the bars will go down. The market is changing are they, we will see.

No matter how some try to spin it, the business is not what it used to be

The last few years it's "beaver will shine again, any time now" (i know, obscure movie reference, but you get the idea).

btw, the meet and greet ain't an organized idea, it just happens, and because that bar is mellow, it's Guess by the sea. Now if she could get hold of another guesthouse on one side or the other, I bet it would work.  I am amazed the ladyboy guesthouse never got tried before this.  I've suggested it a few times over the years. Or a ladyboy mens club :)  Kinda like a time share/mens club (leather chairs and ladyboy servers, you know old school haha).

if so, you're right about M&Gs not having to be particularly organised, other than Emmy buying the food and Quinn's artwork...nothing to do really then other than advertise. Then see who turns up! in a way it doesn't matter 10 or 20, as they still get Emmy more custom than she may [or may not] normally have on a night.Also gives people the chance to meet other BMs in a quiet place too. Katty is ideal for that.

Dunno how many have been held this year...6-7? but all have been good in their way. it's a shame really but i see on forums people posting things like' i'm coming over in january...anyone want to meet up?'

No criticism of other bars - not all of them of course but what's the point if you can't talk over the music? problem is i don't like to contact people to see if they are interested because it could seem too pushy... plus of course the major 10 minute expedition to Jomtien they face  !! One of the best meets was the very first one for the 44 twins...saggy 44 and scs44.. worked well for them too...both were pretty much Newbies and they met quite a few people... a couple of days later scs bar fined LIly!! [i hate him now!]

neither of the guys knew anything whatsoever about the LB scene... but boy did they soon get into it!

personally i'd love Emmy to get a bar on soi Buck or thereabouts. A bigger place. She turns down so many applications from LBs wanting to work in Katty .having to do so simply because it's so small.

She's pretty much the Dowager Empress of LBs now... always amazed me when we went to TJs a couple of times and quite a few LBs there came over to her, almost as if they were paying respects.

Best night I had last September was in Katty bar for the meet and greet even if I did have to share it with an Australian and a boy from Essex.

I had a great night did not drink to much, BF no one but had a great night talking and enjoying life, and as all know I find Emmy a very nice person (think she is very pretty and it is nice to be with an older LB) and great fun to be with, she is learning English humour do doubt from the smiling jovial Grunt (have I spelt this right?)

No offence, but no girl from Katty's Bar could ever compete with the ex Rover's Return barmaid Tina McKintyre (aka Michelle Keegan) imho . 

The good thing is that she is Stockport lass  (my home town)... the bad thing is that she is a Manchester City fan.... nobody is perfect at the end of the day.

There has been a change in farangs behaviours too. With Internet and now android apps, they are more and more aware they can by pass the bar stage that has become in the same time abusive and too expensive in some cases. Bars don't bring the  added value they used to promise. Freelancers are as safe as bar ladyboys and safety (or supposed)  brought by a bar is paid to high a price for what it is. If you look at it differently, paying a ladyboy whore a drink is also several times the price. If you invite a freelancer in an ordinary bar for a drink, you'll pay 4,5 times lower prices. So only people with the bar culture keep on going to bars. Many farangs have this culture coming either from the pubs in their home countries or from legal brothels, but not all the farangs have it. 

Moreover, those who can use apps smartly go further than just trying to hook up freelancers. Instead of going to sin cities, it became feasible to hang out in large cities and find a cultivated ladyboy student or a semi pro. (See what the Sith is able to do). It's even possible in some case to find well hung ladyboys with a good life hygiene for free. (True). On the one hand,   less ladyboys go to sin cities, on the other hand less mongers also do since it's more pleasant to combine tourism and hunting hot ladyboys ie in Issan. 

Another factor is the decrease of tourism in Thailand. Thailand is no longer the poor country where farangs could go and have freedom to experiment all kinds of BS. The country is being regulated (what also makes the prices of tourism services increase) and the atmosphere has become different. On another point of view, the younger generation knows one can't go to Pattaya without admitting mezzo vocce that one needs hookers to have sex. Still another factor, younger people hesitate to travel since ecology has become a concern for them. 

More business out of P4P has developed in Pattaya so that P4P revenues are no longer needed especially when they bring with them a negative image that Thai people can no longer afford. Last but not least, travelers complain of the pollution in Bangkok and Pattaya. That is another reason that makes people avoid the cities. 

So it's not so easy to find one reason why the clientele stopped going to ladyboys bars in Patts. It's a combination of so many factors that it's hard to explain. 

From another point of view, is this a big deal ? It is for those mongers who are unable to adapt and see their gold mine run out. There will always be a hot ass to have fun somewhere. When I can't find it, it'll be time for me to think I became old and I should find a hobby for old people.

The guys that go to Thailand enjoy the craic amongst the guys and girls in the bars and to them it's part of the holiday experience, it's a social thing ye know. Nothing against a fella who wishes to remain discreet and order in but some prefer and indeed enjoy a drink and natter before the deed.

Yup the girls are nowadays more savvy but they also realise where the punters lurk...in the bars, funny old thing. Doing their business by internet will only increase prices...think about it.

They do the internet thing and play the bars, best of the new & the old, up to them and let me point out there is no tie to the bar; the majority of the girls are freelance by choice as the hours suit them and believe me they are doing well, good luck to them. Barfines start at 300 around the bazaars; I did note that some GG bars are doing the Nightwish barfine tiering system but thankfully the LB bars are steady as they are.

A bar is far from a goldmine, most of us get nothing from it; to me it serves several purposes.

• It keeps the teerak in employment and elevates her status amongst her social group
• It provides a social/employment venue for friends and associates
• Great place to meet like minded souls

I was in 69 last night and it was a relaxed friendly place, no drama with some fantastic looking talent you can actually touch, feel and interact with.

It's a nonsense to hook up a bar girl by internet, line or any other App. (Even internet doesn't mean much. You've probably haven't read my explanations "from mongering2.0 to monger in 4G"). So far, I found cheaper prices and better quality using internet  and smartphone Apps. I above said, they must be used smartly. You can still rely on the lack of smartness of those who can't. But you will not change reality by censoring those who can find non pro ladyboys sometimes for free.

Making mongers pay for an overpriced service doesn't make a business profitable. This is how classical airline companies got eaten by the so called "low cost" companies. 

A few bar owners tried to take over forums to make mongers believe there was no alternative to their business. I don't know whether that was a strategy or if it came day by day pints after pints. But the result is there : the religion of bars is declining and the gap between bar addicts and other mongers is widening. The first ones probably ignored the other ones when they pulled the alarm unless they reacted in a mostly violent way. You know exactly what I mean.

I was in 69 Bar with my gf before I went over to New Bar the night I met you.

The reason for the move was that 4 of the Likely lads from the UK,(could not pick the accent), walked in talking loudly and already making asses of themselves. One who thought he was shit hot tried to do a line with Bella who was already having a drink with a BM. She told him to shove off and he looks around seeing what other trouble he could cause. I watched them for a while and decided what had been a good atmosphere was rapidly changing. So off we went to NewBar. Not good how a few clowns can suddenly change the scene.Not picking on UK lads but they do have a penchant for causing trouble and being loud and abusive!.

We did go back to 69 Bar as it does have a good vibe.

Business does seem to have picked up a bit the last few days. I spend some time in the GoGos on LK Metro (just windows shopping, drinking cheap draft beer and cooling off in the A/C) and the number of twats seems to have increased. Perhaps I've been lucky but two days ago is the first time this trip I encountered a guy that had the uncontrollable urge to dance in a GoGo.

I was in a GoGo and a guy (looked Japanese or Korean) was sitting on the usual bench seating fairly close to some farangs in a booth. He bought a 1000 baht bucket of ping pong balls and started throwing them. One of the farangs, who was really drunk, tried to reach into the bucket and get some of the balls. The wait staff and one of the guys friends restrained him but as soon as they let go he tried it again. This time his large friend restrained him a bit better and the staff moved the Asian guy over one bench farther away. Moments later one of the farang's friends walked him out of the GoGo.

The big party last night was TJ's; brilliant night by all accounts. 

Newbar was quiet but friendly, 50 Kungs Hotdogs were provided plus sandwiches & finger food, just a way of saying thanks to all the guys who take the time to drop in from time to time, no drama.
