Pdoggg
Pabuk is headed into the Gulf of Thailand. Samui, Koh Phangan, and the western shore of the Gulf of Thailand will be hit hard. The ferries to/from Samui are cancelled. Seree Supratid of the Climate Change and Disaster Center at Rangsit University said: "Pabuk is likely to be the most devastating one to hit the region since 1962. It's set to (affect) the southern tip of Thailand from Thursday and then careen all the way north."
Pdoggg
Don't know if it is because of Pabuk but it is chilly, cloudy, cold, and windy today in Pattaya, just how I like it! There are real safety concerns on the other side of the Gulf of Thailand and also some islands in the Andaman. While Pabuk won't be a Category 1 hurricane it will be nasty if you're out at sea. Stay dry!
bumblebee
The sea down on Dongtan beach was as chopppy today as I have ever seen it, not huge waves but the water is usually fairly calm there.
