According to the other half, they look at the actual Thai characters and they don’t make any sense, whereas from my observations the rest of us see the actual shape of each word. Likewise she was amazed I got it straight away, as did my 9 year old niece which compounded the surprise. “How did she know that?” Was the first question when the kid read it out.
