Soi Buakhao/Treetown/Soi Pothole Watch!

It's time for Pattaya municipality to admit they are no longer a small beach city in a 3rd world country and they have to cop with developped countries issues. They should think of using free spaces to create parking lot buildings for both cars and motorbikes and organize public transportations (baht buses and taxi motorbikes a stricter way.  They could also think of creating (baht) bus passes for everybody.

I wonder if they have an elected city council at the municipality.

Most of the ladyboys who actually live in Pattaya are registered to vote in their home provinces.

Bars won;t be open until the polls are closed on erection day, May 22nd, and perhaps the day before.

====================================================

A political dynasty’s decades-long dominance of politics in Chon Buri province will be threatened by strong challenges at the upcoming Pattaya mayoral election on May 22, analysts say.

The Khunpluem family, who have held the mayoral seat for generations, are risking a shock loss at the hands of newcomer candidates, said Yuthaporn Issarachai, a political scientist at Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University.

Waning influence

He doubts that the political family retains the influence it once had, pointing to changes in the political, economic, and social spheres.

First, voters may have lost patience with the conflict between incumbent Pattaya mayor Sonthaya Khunpluem and Labour Minister Suchart Chomklin over the recruitment of MP candidates for the ruling Palang Pracharath Party to contest the next election.

“Dissatisfied voters may opt to vote for a new candidate,” said Yuthaporn.

Suchart is a former subordinate of Sonthaya’s father, Somchai, also known as Kamnan Poh, the late “Godfather of Chon Buri”. However, Suchart has managed to build a stature in the ruling party to rival that of Sonthaya.

In the 2019 general election, Suchart’s faction won three MP seats in Chon Buri while Sonthaya’s faction failed to win any of the three seats they contested — although Sonthaya’s brother Wittaya was elected last year for another term as chief executive of Chon Buri’s Provincial Administrative Organisation.

The political dynasty founded by Kamnan Poh is now a shadow of its former self, Yuthaporn said. This became apparent at the 2019 election when three Khunpluem-backed MP candidates were defeated by rivals from the debutant Future Forward Party.

“The Khunpluem dynasty has lost its magic since then,” Yuthaporn said.

Crystal doesn't have the wow factor of Kink but it's a comfortable gogo with pretty seating and a very good sound system.

You can do worse on that soi.

I have to agree. I was in Kink, and the girl who I treated for a drink pleasantly forced my hand between her legs before I had my first sip! Btw no ladyboy, for sure. Crystal and Sugar Sugar were okay too. But Paradise was rather disappointing

Why? Just double park outside the shop you want to visit and backup traffic for three hundred meters. Mai pen rai, na:party0011:

Man, Soi Buakao has become a snarl of traffic. Glad I'm just visiting and have no vehicle to park.

It's always been used as a rat run - that's the problem with it. Just plain dangerous now with no pavements although I guess they would just get clogged with vendors and taxis. Good place for the hospital -  I expect they specialize in RTAs and STDs. given the location.

agreed. If the distance is far, I often walk up to third road, then go east or west to where I want (on soi buakao) then down a connecting soi. Long way around but I like to walk any way

I take similar longcuts to avoid Buakhao.

You can take back alleys and LK Metro to get from Red Hot and Blue (former Sweethearts) to Sugar Sugar.

Also very useful is from Triangle Bar to take Soi Xcyte and the small alley where the original Baby Boom was located to get to Buakhao.

Which bars have more than one ladyboy?

I haven't thoroughly investigated every bar there (yet) but off the top of my head they would be Pom Blue Sky (I'm assuming they mean Mr Blue Sky), Golden Moon Bar, Nonnoi Bar, Matador Bar and Long Huang (Wang?) 35 Bar. Watch this space..........

400 doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered to workers in many businesses in Pattaya.
The booster recipients were mostly from in and around the Tree Town market in Pattaya. They came to get the booster jab administered by medical staff from Pattaya City Hospital yesterday, January 18th, said Mr. Pornchai Sankhaiad, assistant district officer of the Banglamung District Office.

Pornchai said the booster dose would protect workers from the most harmful symptoms of the coronavirus when they got infected. Some workers had to get in close contact with customers, such as a motorcycle taxi rider or a masseuse, so they had to get an additional jab regularly.

I was in Tree Town last night and wondered down the soi that connects it to Second Road. I stopped in the little bar on the right, Pams, or Pan something, I forget the actual name and there were two LBs working in the bar. I even bought one a lady drink, I'm going to lose my Cheap Charlie status, 555!

Note, the LBs were nice but kinda stocky, not equal to the photos above. But a big gal could have your back in a bar fight, so it is what it is:db:
