Guest LaBambaBar
POOL PARTY!!!! 69 Bar, Baby Boom, La Bamba, and Sensations are delighted to announce that they will be hosting a Pool Party at the Cocco Resort on Saturday, July 18. The party starts at 2 p.m., and goes on ‘til 10/11 p.m. The party will consist of afternoon pool-based games, DJs and drinks promos. Some games may involve LBs and customers, so bring your mankinis… In the evening, there will be a barbecue, a raffle with a minimum of 20 prizes to be won, more DJs, and special entertainment. Raffle prizes include Free Bar Fines at each of the bars, a night’s stay at La Bamba, a case of Hong Thong, specially-made bar T-shirts, & etc… Tickets cost 1200 baht, and there are currently 100 available. The ticket price includes entry for the afternoon and evening, transport to and from the Cocco Resort (via baht bus shuttle service from Action St. pick-up point), 4 free raffle tickets (more will be available on the day), and as much as you can eat at the barbecue. So come along and join the fun! Tickets available at 69 Bar, Baby Boom, La Bamba, and Sensations. NOTE: This event is NOT a charity fund-raiser. However, if the event is a success, then all profits will be reserved to cover the cost of staging a second event, which WOULD be a charity fund-raising event, later in the year. That way the ticket price for the charity event could be kept down, and ALL money raised on that day and through ticket sales for that event would go to selected charities (TBA).

Excellent design! Sure to be a collectors item! I suspect the Pool Party will be a smashing success and be the first of many. But like a Mickey Mantle rookie card, the first year's shirt is always special
Patron
It is not enough that these bar owners are piggybacking their own parties in the week reserved for ladyboy volleyball parties taking advantage of a charity event to bring customers into their bars. Now the bar owners appear to be intent on derailing the annual volleyball event. The Pool Party Bar Owners (PPBO) are competing with the charity fundraiser sponsored by respectable members of the Pattaya business community. LBWVB is under the auspices of the Rotary Club. All donations and disbursements are reviewed and audited by the Rotary Club. This event has raised more than a million baht for charity. The PP BO promises to maybe use their profit for another party. There is room for only one ladyboy swimming pool event in Pattaya. Perhaps it is time for the bars to put aside their petty complaints and work for the greater good under Streetwalker's inspired leadership. rxpharm
Methinks thou doth protest too much. The LBWVB event is in November - this event is in July. That is almost 4 months apart and can hardly be seen as having any effect on LBWVB.

Patron
we will have NO ungentlemanly conduct on the forum. There is a gentleman's agreement which stipulates that only bars participating in the officially sanctioned LBWVB event are permitted to host parties during Volleyball Appreciation Week. PP BO have scheduled parties throughout Volleyball Appreciation Week showing utter disdain for the precepts of LBWVB. May I ask sir, "is this gentlemanly conduct"? You're lucky this isn't PLB, because I'm sure you would certainly get much stronger replies. First you complain about the Pool Party which is scheduled 4 months away from LBWVB, and now you are posting about events non-participating bars are planning in LBWVB appreciation week. It seems to me, you're the one with the problem as there is likely enough support for all events to be successful. The old saying, take the log out of your own eye before removing the speck in your neighbor's eye seems to make a lot of sense in this case.

Guest LaBambaBar
The 4 games for the Pool Party on July 18 will be: Ping Pong Collect Relay Just as it is fun to collect things that sink to the bottom, you can do the same with things that float. Ping pong balls make a great floating thing to catch since they're light and hard to see. You can put numbers on them for point values, initials on them where players need to find just their own, etc. The more you dump / toss in to the pool the more fun it is. Find The Bottle Take an empty clear 2 litre plastic bottle. One with a white cap, or the same colour as your pool tiles is also a good idea. Fill the bottle with pool water and line the players up on the pool deck, backs to the water. When they hear the splash they can turn around and try to find it. It's harder than it seems as the bottle camouflages to the bottom. Soaked Shirt Relay Fun pool game and relay for all ages. Teams line up on one side of the pool. They must put on a large t-shirt and swim to the other side of the pool and back. Then take off the wet shirt and the next player must put it on and swim to the other side of the pool and back. Keep going until all players have completed the task - first team done wins. The shirt is very hard to get on and off while it is wet. Variation: Add other items that the players must put on such as a diving mask, flippers, shorts, bathing cap, nose plugs, pool ring ... etc. Watermelon Push RelayFunny relay race for individuals or teams. Players must push a watermelon from one end of the pool to the other without touching the bottom of the pool with their feet. Anyone wishing to participate in any of the games can let me know any time before the event. Participation will be limited, so sign up as soon as possible! Priority will be given to those who reserves places before the event. If there are slots available (oo-er, missus) on the day, then partygoers can sign up at the event.
