As many of you know I tend to take it easy these days and so it will be with this thread. Just an occasional update of things around Pattaya, and perhaps some bar photos from time to time when I am dragged to those dens of debauchery. Second Road is a bit of a mess right now, they are relaying the surface and it reminds me of the old dirt track from Poipet to Siem Reap if any of you were ever unfortunate to travel it. It has been a miserable few days with persistent rain making strolls all but impossible. But I did manage to get a good wander in today and sure enough I stumbled upon my first ladyboy encounter. SiamSam Posted October 9, 2014 Share Posted October 9, 2014 I don't miss the rain in LOS one iota. I have had terrible experiences with it in Bangkok, Pattaya, Chiang Mai, and Phuket. Once I left my hotel in Bangkok to cross the street to the 7-11 and within 5 or 10 minutes I couldn't get back. From a dizzle to a torrential downpour the water level quickly rose above my ankles. Ditto for Phuket. Unbelievable downpours making it impossible to navigate or venture out anywhere. It is not so much the fear of getting wet as it is the filth of the water you are walking/wading in when the drainage system retards and the sewers back up. Now that just happens to be on the route of one of my favourite strolls to the Sanctuary of Truth and as I was passing and had my trusty shooter with me what's a guy to do but capture the fun for the great mass of readers.
