SiamSam
Don't listen to him. I have far more on him and his closet than he does on me and mine. When you live in Porcupine Tree Montana you need a LOT in your closet and DT is no slouch. If only his two cats could talk. Quote Link to comment
deepthroat
Ahem..... A "jumper" is what we North Americans call a sweater. That's not the question though is it? Back to the earlier topic, does everyone remember what patty's name was when she was part of the "army"? ...................... (Tanya.) Also, did the Symbionese ever actually get liberated? If so, from what? And what the fuck exactly is a Symbionese? Quote Link to comment
stoolpusher
If you crossed Kangaroo with a sheep you would have a woolly jumper.....sorry I had to use some Aussie humor . Quote Link to comment
Snick
Actually, the Canary Islands are named after dogs, not birds. Correct ! The Romans found lots of wild dogs (Canine) there. Route67 its your turn to ask a question Quote Link to comment
bumblebee
Some changes to the rules to keep it moving along. - There can be 3 questions live at any time, to give the guys in the various time zones a chance to play.. - You only get one chance to answer each question. - If after 4 or 5 attempts to answer a question it seems obvious nobody knows it, the questionnaire gives the answer and we move on. - Anyone can ask the next question. Luung
Here is one for all you Homos out there, Name the 3 (or possibly 4) species of the genus Homo alive 50,000 years old I thought there were maybe about five branches of the homos genus happily romping around together about 50 million years ago?... Floriensis (maybe)? Neandertalis, Erectus (maybe)? Sapiens (us), Hidlebergensis.... Please forgive the spellings. And then you'd have no doubt had Homosexulsis & in all probability Homophobicious too, potentially bringing up to seven 1 Quote Link to comment

deepthroat
Thanks BB. Okay, finally my chance to ask a question, here goes: Everyone knows that Pink Floyd was named after Syd Barrett's two favorite musicians, American blues musicians Pink Anderson and Floyd Council. And everyone knows that the wish you were here album featured their magnum opus "shine on you crazy diamond parts one through nine" which was dedicated to Barrett who had long since left the band, becoming one of the first acid casualties of the 60s psychedelic era. To answer this question correctly, either give me Syd's real first name, or what the overall theme of the wish you were album was said to be, by Roger Waters who wrote all the lyrics? The theme can be summed up in a single word, beginning with the letter a. Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
Good hints, DT, but was never a big Floyd fan myself...... Quote Link to comment

deepthroat
So at the moment we have 3 live ones. Jumper Homo Pink Floyd We need answers before we can add another. Need a ruling from the judge/quizmaster on the Homo question. After placing my answer, I checked, and Google seems to show many different answers. If the quizmaster is correct and limiting it to three, then my answer could be considered correct. If he wants to extend it to four, then I'm not sure how I scored. One response I saw on Google indicated that there could be eight different genus of Homo. P.S. - I would think it goes without saying that the questioner should be strongly encouraged to have a definitive answer to any quiz question that he poses. Otherwise this will degenerate into a Karel Pilkington "Rock Busters" exercise in futility. http://www.pilkipedia.co.uk/wiki/index.php?title=Rockbusters Quote Link to comment

bumblebee
Here is one for the lovers of football(soccer) so I doubt our North American brothers will steal this one. What word links the “Wizard of Oz” with the top goal-scorer in the 1990 World Cup finals? By the way did we sort out that jumper/pullover/sweater question yet? Quote Link to comment
