viagra cialis in the PI

I thought I might post this as a separate topic/query.

As this is my 1st trip to the PI, and my first venture into this kind of thing, was wondering what the deal was.

Here's the thing: will be with 1 LB for 3 weeks and I might need a bit of 'support' to keep things moving. I had heard that meds were available over-the-counter in PI (i.e sans prescription) but a local friend has advised that this does not apply to cialis/viagra. Does anyone have a different experience?

In the alternative I can get a prescription here and bring it through PI customs. Should that present any issues?

Of course, worst case is I get a scrip over there from a local clinic.

Any advice much appreciated :party0005:

Off the street many vendors floating around. (angeles & makati)

As for over the counter purshases, i was after antibiotics and they would not sell them to me without a prescription. God bless Thailand on that front.

Personally never used vitamin V nor its cousins but would be interesting to hear how reliable those street vendors are.

@Guydesavoy

My advice to you is to go with Rxpharm advice that you have them properly labelled and the amount you bring in are clearly for your personal use , if you need any other info if you can buy any of these stuff over the counter send a E@mail to any phillippines drug store for more info....

I defer to Stealth007, due to his experience in the Philippines, but I think he may be implying that there may be counterfeit drugs circulating in the Philippines. This is a problem in LOS, and a growing problem in many countries, including Canada and USA.

Thanks Gents.

I have absolutely zero interest in buying any meds off the street or from dodgy purveyors.

As it has been confirmed that cialis et al is not available over the counter from reputable pharmacists in PI, I will, if I decide to proceed, bring them from home with scrip and clearly labelled box in hand.

Not always so though.  Recently I have bought Azithromycin, Doxycycline and Cefixime over the counter in Manila from different pharmacies without a prescription. To be fair, the main chain - Mercury Drug - are unlikley to hand them over without a prescription but many of the others will.

Nb The eagle eyed amongst you (rxpharm) may have detected a certain link in my choice of pharmas above.  Purely coincidental, your honour, and not all of them connected to certain lb related type activites

Yup most of the Phil pharmacies have never asked me for a prescription. I often go to the big chain Generics Pharmacy. Very cheap.

I'm guilty as charged. I did get Doxycycline and Cefixime to proctect me against Chlamydia and Gonorrhea.  :happy0148:

BTW that Azithromycin (zithromax i believe is one of its names) - never again would i take it.. nearly couldnt get in a flight after having it... cronic sweating and vertigo... barely could i stand.

Safety Announcement

[3-12-2013]   The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is warning the public that azithromycin (Zithromax or Zmax) can cause abnormal changes in the electrical activity of the heart that may lead to a potentially fatal irregular heart rhythm.

After having my 3 Cialis pills in my hand luggage (a 4-pill box with 3 remaining, 1 used back home in Turkey) confiscated at Cairo Airport while transferring to BKK, on my second trip with Royal Jordanian via Amman, I had my one Cialis hidden inside my jeans' pockets in my luggage, and I sent my luggage to the plane cargo after checking in. Avoided all the hassle and sneaked my pill in a breeze. But that was just for a small trip, and as you guys mostly go for long terms, the number of hidden pills might be a problem. You might just do so too of course. One pill in a shirt pocket, one pill inside a sock, etc...and all inside the luggage. You might put one inside your wallet too, after all they don't check there very often, although that is a risk. I was far more vigorously searched during my transfer points (Cairo and Amman) than entering BKK. Don't know the situation in PI of course.

As the Cialis I brought was not enough then I bought one lil' pack of Kamagra jelly from a street vendor near Soi Nana (much to the chagrin of my pals back home advising not to buy from them) and the result was satisfactory. Even if it's fake, he mighta been sold me Bactrim (antibiotics) because it tasted like that. And the effect might be placebo-or I did not have a problem this time.

Have you tried Cialis before? If not, you may want to test it before leaving, because a high percentage of men (could be over 15%) get back pains and/or other muscular disruptions from it. I'm one of them. First the muscle pains (they all ache at the same time), then the lower back pains (like when you hurt yourself lifting something). It doesn't affect everyone equally, of course, but it has the potential to screw up your vacation if you're one of the unlucky one; bothered me for well over a week.

Interesting I never heard of this before despite spending much time of web sites of this type. Searching tadalafil on WEBMD mentions possible back pain as a side effect but gives no statistics on percentages. You learn something everyday. I never had any problems.

OTOH I get about ever side effect from sildenafil citrate (Viagra/Kamagra) known to mankind. Including about four hours of diarrhea after the four hours of woody goes away. So needless to say I stay far away from Kamagra.

I have bought a fair amount of something called Cialis on the streets in Angeles City and it seems to work just fine. It is crazy cheap on the streets so must be a copy. But the packaging will pass all the tests you can find online. Probably risky to take a chance on street meds. But I do other crazy wreckless stuff like fly half way around the world to have sex with LB prostitutes.

I have been using Cialis for years and prefer it to Viagra. I purchase 10mg pills and usually cut them in half unless I am gearing up for a marathon, (then I consume the full 10mg  ). To be honest I do not see a remarkable difference between 5 and 10mg dosages.

About a day after taking Cialis I usually experience pain on both sides of my lower back around the kidney areas. It is not so much a pain as it is a dull ache. It dissipates within a day or two. Nothing for alarm, or so I hope.

The other weird side effect I experience is some areas of dark bruising in the upper arms around the biceps. Like someone pinched me. This usually occurs when I take 10mg. I am curious if anyone else has experienced bruising similar to what I describe above.
