The following Members are in the 100 post club:

BumbleBee

PDogg

Siam Sam

Hound of the Baskervilles

Lung

Deep Throat

Farangbah is just a pubic hair behind at 99.

Note these numbers are understated as Boiler Room counts don't get totaled.

A big thank you to members of the 100 post club as well as to our other prolific posters. It's not easy for a new forum to gain traction and you guys have sure helped!

Currently, our strength is a core group of extremely knowledgeable posters. In a way that's nice cause it's clubby, but in a way frustrating because we post so that others can read so a bigger pool of readers and responders is what we're shooting for. Please encourage your ladyboy loving friends to post on Ladyboy Review.

WOW, this is the first time in my life I ever got 100 on anything! Very exciting indeed. I was looking for something to drink to and now I have my reason to celebrate.

How about a + 1 for reaching 100? Lefty's got 7 and that is driving me crazy! :clapping:

There you go Sam, but I want one back! +1

I just don't want you walking in anybody's shaddow

you guys are making a mockery of having the +1 thing, by just saying give me a +1 and I'll give you one. :notfair:

Kind of an insult to PDogg's human dignity IMO. I'm not sure I can stand for it. :growl:

Unless you both wanna give me a +1 to make up for it. :db: :p

I never seen anyone as concerned over his rep count as our young Sambo is. 8P

I don't know why Boiler Room posts don't count anyway. It's not total post count means a whole lot, its quality that matters. I'd give more credence to someone with 40 posts if they were indepth and good information, compared to someone with over 100 of just one or two lines.

As for supporting the forum, Boiler Room posts support it too, so they should all count the same.

Correctomundo Khun Lefty, it's quality that matters!

Things such as post count and reputation points really don't matter too much IMO. It's obvious who knows their shit which on this Forum is just about everyone as we have lots of old hands here right now.

Bolier Room posts are great. It builds community and just as when a bunch of FMs get together in a bar, we not only talking about ladyboys.

The reason Boiler Room posts are not totaled is that we're probably going to have a posting contest with some Gold Memberships being given out as prizes. But first we have to sort out some problems with the free porno movies that are a part of Gold Membership.

The objective of the posting contest is SEO (search engine optimization). Posts with words such as ladyboys or shemales help our SEO. A post about Manchester United doesn't.

When other non-ladyboy forums have had posting contests, they've been flooded with posts in their Off Topic area cause it's pretty easy to come up with these types of posts. That's not the intention of the contest. After the contest we can include Boiler Room in the totals because we love you Lefty! :friends:

This is all well and good chaps but the only question I have is who gave Lefty that fucking 8th point!??!

Damn I was running neck and neck with him for a few brief moments and puff he magically is out in front again.

On well, I guess I should just concede defeat and be content with living in that enormous shadow. ;)

Look at my post count compared to yours. LMAO

You got over triple the posts so even if we are even in rep, you are still way behind. 55555

There certainly is a good core group of FMs here now. But yes ideally the forum should be building up each and every day. Looking at the members list, there are some well know names there who seem to have posted a handful of times and drifted. Maybe PM them to show them how the Forum is coming on. Also Donneykey is due home soon from Los, so that is a TR we should aim at having here also.

There are so many forums out there now, that it's time consuming to cover them all, therefore the smaller forums seem to get forgotten about to an extent. I presume with PD on the ground in Pattaya he is informing all the LB lovers he meets about this forum. SLBT's birthday party in La Bamba would have been a good recruitment point also. I think SLBT will do a TR, so maybe contact him to post here also.

BB I think your observation is dead on. I was encouraged to see a number of the better known posters come aboard LBR but they seemed to have vanished. Perhaps they are checking in from time to time and do not find anything interesting to comment on. Or, perhaps as you point out, there are simply too many forums to deal with and only so much time. I'd be curious to know how long it took TLF to take off after its official launch. Anyone know?

Before it was TFL ran by Stogie Bear, it started as a site gadgets free forum attached to AsianTS.com. Back then, there were few lb web sites or forums and it still took some time to get going. We called it the yellow forum back then. It was all on one page, with a yellow background. No signing in. You just entered whatever name you wanted to use and make your post. It was an honor system and virtually everyone followed that by not using someone else's name and saying something stupid. JaiDee was helped in his forum getting built up by a handful of prolific knowledgeable posters like Abetheoracle, BlueBallz, Lotusman, MrLonely, and Roadrunner. JD of course also participated heavily. By the time Stogie showed up in spring 2003 and offered to set it up on a more modern format, like ikonboard, it was already picking up a lot of steam. The first few months of signups to the ikonboard forum were quite heavy. I'm thinking there were over 100 in the first month. I waited like 2 weeks after launch and my original signup number was in the 70s IIRC. The forum remained the property of AsianTS and JaiDee until 2006 I think, when in a gesture of great kindness and generosity, he just gave it away, as in for free, to Stogie.

Considering the amount of competition now, I think the speed of growth of LBR is pretty good. Also the yellow forum started in 2001, and crawled like a snail till 2002, when the core of good posters found it. I joined it in 2002, like June or so. My comments about the time preceding that are my recollections from talks with JaiDee.

PD has some really flashy brightly colored business cards that he passes out at every opportunity. The Indian tailors on Beach Rd got nothing on him for ability to distribute business cards. Also however, PD does have a more receptive audience. Fucking tailors, any time they try to hand me anything I want to tell them better they just shove it up their ass and set fire to it.

Speaking of tailors, how come there are few if any Chinamen working as tailors anymore? Our options now seem limited to Indians and Sikhs.

They're all wearing skirts & trying to sell their arses Khun Lefty... Hadn't you noticed?. :hair:

Personally I wouldn't dream of wearing a suit that had been tailored here, not unless I did a 'stinko' job where I needed to wear some kind of ‘Noddy’ outfit every day of the week... But then my 'lil' mammy' was a lady tailoress & I’ve designed lots of stuff myself that I’ve had made up here & I'm English, to boot (not the Soi Bukhow variety), so of course I'm fussy. :hi:

But more importantly, I know what I'm fucking looking at!

In spite of actually living here the last suit I had tailored was made by Jaegers’ own tailors in Jermyn St, London, W1. And it still looks a million dollars & gives me an immediate erection every time I dorn it.. And before that it was always my dad's old tailor 'Himmie the Jew', down at the Cut in Waterloo, SE1. No erections, but still good.

Has I said on my, "So you thought it was all P4P" thread... "Be the man they want to be seen with!... Not the prick in the cheap suite... Sometimes you've just got to bite the bullet, some things have just got to be paid for & I say that in spite of my inherently stingy nature! B)

BTW, the Sikhs are most definitely the better choice out of the two... But a Burmese is even better!

Was that off topic enough?

I'm normally the last person you would ever see wearing tailor made clothes. I prefer to dress somewhere between retro gym rat and retro beach bum. Comfort is the key for me. Fuck labels and trying to put on airs. That's for the pretenders. My problem is however, my size. It is hard to find trousers, jeans, etc that fit me. I would bet there is not one pair of off the rack denim jeans available for sale in Thailand, that I could just fit into perfectly and walk out the door.

Our old friend Pacman buys a lot of tailor made clothes here and wears them almost exclusively. If I ever saw him in a t-shirt and blue jeans I would probably fall over in a faint. Anyway, he seems to have good luck as for quality and fit. I was just thinking if I ever want a pair of good fitting denim jeans again, I may need to...shudder...get some tailor to make them.

Thanks for the advice Lung, about use a Sikh over an Indian in choice of tailor. Another +1 for you for an interesting helpful post. You mentioned Burmese, and that made me smile, because one of the few tailors I've ever felt like talking to at all was a young Burmese lad at a tailor shop around Soi 11 or 12. One of standard responses if some tailor gets half in my way and says the standard bullshit line of, "hello my friend, come inside sir", etc etc, is "I don't know...do you have short time rooms?" This Burmese kid, probably early 20s, decent English, he doesn't miss a beat, immediately responds with "Yes we do have short time rooms, come inside and I will show them to you." Said with a big grin on his face. I said to myself, hey I like this guy, and asked him for one of his cards. The only time I ever took a business card from a tailor in Pattaya

It's 'Building site chic' to 'pissed up beach bum' to 'lounge lizard fop' for me... But I agree with you whole heartedly, labels are for pretenders & girly boys & there ain't nothing worse, it denotes following a fashion (a word I detest) & that just means you can't think for yourself or determine your own style & that you'll be also lead like sheep or bovine cattle. :judge:

As for the young Burmese lad I figure it's only a matter of time before he realizes the business logic of donning a skirt himself & going the way of the Chinese. :hair:

If you want tailored jeans, try 'Mr Shing's' in South Pattaya, it's an institution & they'll let you have as many fittings as you want until you've got it right & if 'old Mr Shing's in there in person & you say he's been recommended you'll get well looked after & it might even become an event? :hi:

Would you be a little more specific about where to locate Mr Shing? He doesn't sound Indian or Sikh with a name like that. Would he be a Chinaman?

Thanks Lung! You rock dude.

You rock too 'Big Boy'!

When you get to the traffic lights at the crossroads of South Pattaya Rd & the Second Rd keep going towards Soi VC, Jontiem way... And Mr Shing's will be on your right near the big hotel where Taliban hang about smoking the hubbly bubbly & stuffin' fat birds... You can't miss it, but I will endeavor to dig out a business card for you at any rate.

BTW, Singh (I spelled it wrong) is the Shik surname by which all boys are named at birth, if they wish to change it that is permissible, but Singh will then become the middle name... They're the fighting Indians, I doubt if you'd find one of them donning a mini skirt like a Chinaman!?.. Not unless he was on a mission, of course?

Failing that I'm on sabbatical in Patts from the 30th of this month so I could drag you in there, if you so wish?
