sydneyjohn57 Posted May 16, 2017 Share Posted May 16, 2017 I stayed in Best Western Oxford Suites, Cnr Durban & P Burgos Sts, Makati from May 3 to May 5. This time I selected the junior suite and was on 11th floor. It is a largish curved room facing P Burgos St with not much traffic noise. However, as Friday was Cinco de Mayo the bar across the street which is Mexican themed was in party mode and Duban St was closed off for partying so it wasn't until early hours before I went to bed. He was arranging slight changes here and there to make the place a bit better. I also understand that he originally owned and may still own Kokomos and rented it out. The family also own Fields Plaza suites and I did hear that they are the ones building the place next to Phillies. Stealth007 Posted May 27, 2017 Author Share Posted May 27, 2017 @SydneyJohn57 Yes , they are also the once building next to Phillies Grill , but talking to ( Gerard Jr ) he told me that they will lease out also the whole building , on my ask who will be the Lucky once to run the club section he told me , hungarian and bulgarian club owners , so you can say new blood in the race , lets hope it will be a spectacular club that can compete with Hiso , hope that all will be finish and full operational when i get there next year so i can see and experience it all on my own....... It has soft opening in December and is now fully opened. There are 3 hotels on that intersection and I have now stayed at each one within 6 months of their Grand Opening (I'M Hotel, City Gardens Grand and St Giles). Walk up Kalayaan and next intersection is Kalayaan and P Burgos with Mixed Nuts/ midget boxing building on the corner. Wak down Makati Ave past City Gardens on corner of Durban street then up Durban to Oxford Suites on corner of P Burgos. I chose it because for years I have seen the hole in the ground which they finally started building on 2-3 years ago and I have stayed at the other 2 corner hotels just after they opened. thaibound Posted June 7, 2017 Share Posted June 7, 2017 the I'M hotel is actually a very convenient location, I think. 10minute walk to rockwell/powerplant and only 3minute walk to newer Century Mall with starbucks and coffeebean+tea leaf both only seconds away. i checked out the room and it looks good. and staff friendly, though i have yet to fork out the $100+ to stay there. if i see an agoda special, i'll move over from my go-to-if-aging usual residence at Oxford. When i arrive at the airport , my pickup service was waiting to take me to my hotel , the fair was 3195 peso , one way from Manila to Angeles City Once at the hotel i did not need to wait for my room to be ready i could have enter it right away , i reach around 12.00 PM The place is decaying slowly but surely and thats a pitty for once such a great hotel , the new owner look like balkan boys , during the 4 days i stay there each morning when i had brakefast they will come together to talk and some time some of the hotel staff will sit with them , hope they will begin to load money in that place and fix it back as it use to be , you can see the scare of decay also in the room , carpet that is long overdue to be renew Hotel Deposit 4000 Peso Location Perfect hide out if you dont want to be seen with a ladyboy or anybody`s girl , lol , there is free transportation to fields on request so i made a few time use of it , or just a 50 peso trick ride.... Staff Attitude Very good and attentive for details , they know your name after a few days , i did not had no issue during my stay but they will Always ask if everything is according to my wishes , the overal personal was good and very friendly also...... Wifi System Generaly speaking it was avarage , not very fast and not to slow , did fall out a few time , specialy during the day time Swimming Pool Was oke , got clean everyday..... Food & Beverages I notice that there where not many guest staying at the hotel so the buffet choice was not so big each day they change only one meal and the rest was the same....... After cheque out i got a free shuttle ride to my next hotel , " Central Parks Hotel " , right away cheque inn was there also not a problem Hotel Deposit 1000 Peso Location Perfect , stone drop away from walking street , and still not in the middle of all that bussy movements Staff Attitude Very good and attentive for details , sometime a little bit stuck up attitude , the overal personal was good and very friendly...... Wifi System Generaly speaking it was Very Good , thats for inside the room and outside , on the pool deck it was also , good and restaurant area ATM facility There is one in the hotel lobby , very convenient Swimming Pool Was oke , got clean everyday.....
