At this point I'm tryingg to get her out of the room and the hotel without a scene. Out on the street, she suggests I get on her bike and we go to Pontoon. I tell her no, I'm just going to walk, you go to Pontoon. At this point she demands $20. I stall, walking along the sidewalk with her putting along next to me on her bike. She started to use words like "Police" and "my friends", so I rang up PD, with the thought that he could witness my payment to avoid any further shit. He most graciously said he'd be at my corner in 2 minutes. While waiting, I told her I'd give her the $20 so I wouldn't have to see her anymore. "You angry?" she asks. "Not at all". I give her the $20, she rides off, PD shows up, we get some drink, walk and chat and we both go home alone. no more drama. I figure the extra 700 baht was well worth avoiding the involvement of any more Cambodians. Anyway, here's a pic of my original target.
