Early 50s, semi-retired, doing some consulting on the side. Moved to Bangkok about 4 months ago, and most Friday evenings, I’m on the road to Pattaya.

My first trip to Thailand was about 10 years ago for work, and honestly, it completely rewired me. I’d always had a thing for Asian girls\boys, and in those three days I hit more massage parlors and bars than actual meetings. The way the girls are so open, playful, and unashamed about sex was unlike anything I’d experienced back home.

Fast forward to now after years of a marriage where sex became routine and eventually stopped, I started cheating, got caught, and well... Divorce. I lost custody, lost most of my friends. Brutal chapter of life. But it also forced me to stop hiding this side of myself.

Now in Pattaya, it’s like living in a different reality. The bars, the go-gos, the soapy massages, the BJ bars, the whole place is designed for people like me. I’ve slept with more women in the past few months than I did in the last decade of my marriage.

It’s exhilarating, like I’m 25 again but I’m also starting to wonder how long this pace is sustainable. Some weekends I come back to Bangkok feeling amazing, other weekends I feel completely drained and question if I’m just chasing dopamine hits.

Anyone else living this life? Does it overwhelm you? What's your story.

These 'bots' join, then are dormant for 2/3 months and then add a single post and don't return so there's not any interaction so the intention is certainly a mystery to me.

This board is getting more new daily bot memberships that get through the board's join screening than it is getting new daily content posts from proven BMs...

Like barforth, I wonder what the bots' intention is.  If it is to pass off as self-sustaining AI, it is not working because the bots never come back after their OP to further the topics they raise.  We also do not see bots jumping into ongoing topics.

My guess is that somewhere bots are being developed to read around the forums and assess content against their knowledge banks and then make a post accordingly and THEN someone human checks the post and its reactions to assess how the bot did as part of general AI development.  Otherwise I see no gain from such reasonably articulate posts.

If my hypothesis is correct, there would be a monitoring bot-master(s) lurking around the board who could conceivably post using the bots accounts but don't even bother.  We may have had a recent case where it happened and the bot account came back with a second post after I questioned its humanity but afterwards we never heard back from that account.

I also suspect bots are going around giving likes to old posts.  Once in a while a BM who has not posted in ages gets like 30 likes in a day and is featured on the daily leaderboard.  I doubt it was the BM giving votes to himself.  It is a bot that for some reason is going through his posts and liking them...

We also have the old-fashioned spam bots, often in Russian.  But those seek only to direct you to rip off websites and have lately been curtailed (but not suppressed).

What we need is more BMs and more ladyboy-related posts.  Last time I looked (and it was a while ago) in the evil board, I also noticed such trends of less content generation and veteran BMs withdrawal, which may be due both to their cracking down on freethinking contributing BMs and to a general lessening of interest in what once felt like an exclusive secret world of ladyboy wonder sex that may now have become more trivialized as transgenderism is becoming more commonplace in most countries and mongering in Thailand is being diverted from the bars to online dating sites.  In fact I myself have stopped peeking there at P Y and caring to be as much up to date as I used to be on everything ladyboy-related. We have witnessed that here at LBR also.  I joined 6 years ago and since then all, I repeat ALL the core BMs veteran ladyboy mongers who had preceded me here in the Board have gone completely or mostly silent (not PDoggg of course, and PG came after me).  Dan Miller's BKK TRs were a bright hope while they lasted but he seems to have gone silent also.  snoopdawg posts once in a while but I think only because of his association with me.  I hate to see this board go to the bots and will keep contributing while it lasts.

I for one intend to ingest as much ladyboy spunk as I can in an upcoming trip in Thailand AND Cambodia, but yes things have gone VERY quiet in recent years.  A gathering of the clan would be good fun methinks, but all humans I have knowledge of have basically caccooning themselves to some degree, outside of work.

Nowadays, the closest I am aware of to a gathering spot for ladyboy mongers is the Delirious Bar, but it does not come even close to the glory days of Sensations, C&D with uberbros Scott and Jimbo and Kendo on the wheel at the other board and generally adored.  There was genuine eagerness to share stories and pics online which is less frequent now.  And what I used to call the greatest ladyboy show on earth: the pool voleyball cup that was the ultimate gathering place for  the sissy aficcionados. That way bots can't get in.

Was not using boards in my 20's and 30's, but achieved my mongering goals. In my 40's using the boards for info.  So it could be an age thing, I don't know just putting it out there.

I agree topycal boards are old tech with the generalization of social media, but a ladyboy mongering board would remain relevant as long as you cannot post about mongering and adult content on FB, instagram, reddit, etc...  whatsapp works for a closed group but so far no one invited me to join a ladyboy one...  but I agree: boards in general are loosing popularity.  also adblockers are widespread and reduce board's income and consequently board owner's effort.

I also did not need boards in my golden mongering period of the late 1990s-early 2000s... but I witnessed and participated in the emergence of the ladyboy boards in the late 2000s and it changed the way I mongered as I realized I enjoyed sharing my adventures and gather as much intel as possible.  I am less enthusiastic now about the boards and would probably not contribute as much content if I did not feel this Board can use it.  But how many times do BMs here want to see my dick up some sissy's crapper?

You're not impressed with Marques the testosterone fuelled monger who sleeps little but fucks at least 3 or 4 times a day and produces interesting and detailed TRs, doesn't get involved in any of the pettiness.

Nana aside I think Patts is now superior to Bkk with the quality and selection of bars although Cindy's has lost it's way from it's initial popularity whether the appt of the new 'manager' will help remains to be seen.

No they haven't barforth.  when that happens the lights will go out...  but it's become clear this board is not generating much content or revenue and to keep it and admin it has become a labor of persistence seemingly all done by one man who uses the plural form when he mentions ownership.  It's disheartening to see the other board become the default board but that's how it goes with social media once an edge is established it becomes self-aggregating.  (like MySpace being wiped out by Facebook).  But even P Y I don't think they are doing that great revenuewise and it relies on the voluntary work of goons who get a kick out of running things and harassing BMs.  It basically is there to promote the owner's porn site and I doubt it is generating much through traffic.

About bots, old members and how things evolve

I’ve seen the recent comments about supposed bots and fake members. It’s getting hard to tell what’s real anymore, but maybe we shouldn’t jump too fast. Some people just use the forum differently, or come back after a long break. That can look strange, but it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re fake. We shouldn't harass new posting members the way we do. 

Regarding members posting less and less, over the years, I’ve also noticed how the Internet changed the whole idea of discovery. What used to be a few hidden gems shared among a small circle turned into mass tourism — just like the small guesthouses that vanished when booking sites took over. Maybe that’s why many old members stopped posting in ladyboys forums: the spirit just isn’t the same anymore and I'm not talking of the bad spirit of moderators in another forum.

As far as I am concerned, I have traveled less since the end of the covid, partly because of flight prices and partly because I’m involved in new personal stuff either related to ladyboys or to other subjects.  I’ve thought about starting new threads, but I’ve seen how quickly things can turn toxic when you can’t moderate the tone. It’s not always worth it.  Ladyboywise,  I don’t want to spend my time writing about what looks exciting when I’m still trying to figure out what’s really behind it.

Years ago, I wrote a long post in the Canuk forum while travelling on a bus in the mountains of northern Vietnam. It was about the shift from Web 2.0 to the 4G app era. I don’t think I made my point very clearly back then, but the signs of change were already there — and that evolution is still ongoing today.

Anyway, I still enjoy reading what’s left of the genuine discussions here. It’s good to see a few familiar names still around.

It's always something. One time the river floods bigtime, another there's a coup, another someone is tossing small explosives onto BTS station roofs or the occasional garbage can blows up...the airport is seized or Sukhumvit is "blocked" tho it looks more like a long street fair.
