Visit to Thailand 2018

So I thought I would share an interesting story. One day I took a busride from Bangkok to Wat Saensuk with friends. For those of you unaware, Wat Saensuk is kind of infamous for its depiction of Buddhist hell, purgatory and heaven. It is about halfway between Bangkok and Pattaya.

On the way, I did a tab of acid wity one friend to "enhance" the experience. The other friend stayed sober just to be safe. Pretty epic. The hell part in particular was gruesome - graphic statues of tongues being chopped off by demons, persons climbing up poles with barbs on them and others being cooked in cauldrons. Really wicked stuff. The heaven was all persons in buddha poses at peace with themselves. Overall a great place to check out! We spent like 2 hours there just roaming.

After the intense experience we went to party on Sukhumvit first going to an all you can eat/drink sake and sushi place. Followed by a few bars. We left drunk and still feeling the effects of the syd. I don't know if real or imagined but i saw windows with curtains closed and nude silhouttes dancing seductively in them almost like a stage production (most likely tripping).

At one point, a group of Kenyan girls eyed us like prey and tried having us bring them with us. After politely declining, we saw two of them later that night (maybe 2 or 3 am) get into a fight right in the street at soi 9, one taking off her high heel to attack the other one - others in their group held them apart and it felt like a movie rather than really real. A crowd formed and not a policeman in sight. Nothing came of it but it is burned into my mind.

As i separated from my buddies. I stumbled back towards my hotel. An old Thai beggar woman seemed buddha in her tranquil disposition and didn't ask for anything. I decided to give her all my baht coins in my pockets and she politely nodded at me.

I suspect the substances made the night more memorable and vivid than normal but there is something in the air in Thailand. The smells, the humidity, the warmth that makes it special. If you actually got to the end of this rant, thanks for reading lol.
