ciobha
BTW, I know you are regularly updating the fridge with various beers and ales, but have you ever considered stocking things like crisps, nuts etc. for purchase on an evening supping ale? May not be feasible, but not many establishments in Pattaya do this, but it is an old Brit/Irish tradition for the peckish drinker?

Especially salted nuts are popular. The salt taste makes thirsty, ergo customers drink more

We do have Salted Peanuts but the girls forget to put them out...grrr. Lays are also supplied on a regular basis; I'll make sure they're briefed.

Rom
To me nothing says redemption like a stream of sissies pics, so I welcome this thread and salute it with a pic I took on the night I cleared the air with Petesie; a pic of the beautiful Fang playing pool with New who had frantically waved us in as we walked by the narrow soi... Not a great pic but it's the only one I have of Fang at New Bar. I take this opportunity to ask Petesie to remind me who this tall glass of water is who I courted on different visits. She gave me a rate but declined my LT invitation and so it did not happen. I came back, gave her a second chance and upped the rate. Got another LT Nyet. Is she still around New bar? Is/was she not your top producer? ... the "end shot" as Jimbo used to post'em.

ciobha
Is the 4am closing time set in stone, or does it depend on the amount of cussamers in the bar, say at around 1am?

Totally agree but haven't been available here for 6 months & are expensive when they are, 69b a bag, despite this these Lays are absolutely free. I'm not a huge Walkers fan these days, my fave is actually Tesco's brand, especially cheese & onion. Do the job properly or not at all? Is that actually your best shot? Dearie me, I do wonder what goes on in some fellas minds where all the previous built up individual historical forum ire can only result in directing the choice of whatever free snacks I put on in the bar. By the way the salted peanuts are top notch...Good grief...

I'm not a craft beer guy but it drives me nuts when bars don't offer San Mig Zero 3% ABV. I seem to encounter this mostly in Thai owned bars. In 7/11 it's actually cheaper than a Leo but farang bars generally charge the same as San Mig Lite. I guess it doesn't make sense to some barowners that some farang would rather be less drunk for the same money. We do the Zero beers but sometimes San Mig Zero is a hard one to get hold of but we try our best to keep stock.

Potter
Walkers and Lays are the same product. Owned by Pepsico. They stayed with Walkers because it had stronger brand recognition in the UK. I think the best Cheese and Onion was Golden Wonder, but they have disappeared. Alas crisps are not what they are used to be. Weight per bag, flavour etc. Tato are okish Can't beat a decent Pork Scratching. Easy to make.
