Soju
Last year Thailand did a 45 day visa exempt; this year going to 90? Would be nice to avoid the immigration bureaucracy. https://www.thaipbsworld.com/pm-to-look-into-extending-tourist-visas-to-90-days/
Pdoggg
My understanding is that the 45 day visa exempt was discontinued in April. Below is what I think your options are but since this situation doesn't apply to me I'm not 100% sure. If you want to stay between 30 and 60 days: 1) Enter with the free 30 day visa exempt and extend for an additional 30 days at Immigration. or 2) Apply at home for a 60 day tourist visa If you want to stay between 60 days and 90 days: Apply at home for a 60 day tourist visa and extend for an additional 30 days at Immigration. If you want to stay longer than 90 then fly to Phnom Penh or some other nearby place and restart the clock. As I recall the the 60 day tourist is around 1900 baht and the 30 day extension is also 1900 baht.
