  1. If a Thai bank goes bust, I'm assuming the Farang will be at the end of the line (if they are allowed tobe in line at all) to collect of the FDIC-type insurance (I think the main benefit of this insurance is that it helps avoid bank runs, which could crash a otherwise healthy bank if the wrong rumor got started).
  2. If I lived in Thailand full time then a relationship with a LB would be just the ticket. It would be interesting to get to know one of these creatures (other than in the biblical sense). I'm sure I'm in the minority, but if I lived in the LOS going to the bars everynight for companionship would get to be trying. It would be fun to have someone to travel around asia with. As long as I didn't have to go up country and meet the parents everything would be okay.
  3. Then more chat with Lek and she wanted to know why I didn't ask to go with her??? Turns out she wasn't off limits. Spent the test of the next 5 or 6 trips to Pattaya almost exclusively with the lovely Lek, as has been mentioned above she was a bit special. Nothing lasts for ever, but it's a pity that 131 didn't go a bit longer I wish I would have known that Lek was "available." This ranks along with my major misses, along with not barfinng Alis when I had the chance. Is Lek still in Pataya somewhere????
  4. Does anyone know where Alis is currently hanging her hat? I've been lusting after since her Club 131 days. For one reason or another I never acted on my inclinations towards Alis on prior trips. I'm hoping she is still on the market.
  5. After seeing what passes for wiring in Pattaya, I don't see how this is not a daily occurance. I often get up early for a run, and in the sunshine happen to notice all the F'd up wiring coming from the power poles. I can only imagine that it is just as bad in a lot of the buildings.
  6. I hope they took the opportunity in the several month closure to change the sheets in the short time rooms.
  7. One tattoo (smallish) is okay, but we it takes up the whole arm/leg it is too much. You just as well fuck a sailor in a dress.
  8. Done the threesome bit I think 4 times. In theory it should be twice as hot as one ladyboy, but it never quite seems to work out that way. I'm sticking to one on one in the future. Of course until I'm talked into it again.
  9. Look on Tripadviser they have ratings/reviews of Siem reap hotels.
  10. Can't reccomend Angkor Wat highly enough. You've already spent $$$ to get to SEA. Take a day or two and see the temples. Its like something out of a Indiana Jones movie (only it real). Need a guide though. Get off the correct tract and you get blown up by land mines (no kidding). During the Vietnam war the surrounding area was a place for the Khmer rouge.
  11. I'm glad to see from reading the above thread that I'm not the only one who has wanted to punch people during Songkran. I hate when people try to force you in on their "fun." Especially when it involves me getting doused with buckets of water while I'm riding by on a Baht bus. I guess I'm a stick in the mud as well. I could take getting sprayed with a simple squirt gun or two, but getting soaking wet while your trying to mind your own business really isn't fun (at least for me).
  12. It is so refressing that you treat your "dates" as people. On some of the boards (both GG and LB) they seem to see them as little more that "LBFM." I'm borderline agnostic (but a believer in Karma nonetheless) and I'm glad to read about punter and LB treating each other as human beings. I often think what twist of fate allowed me to be born in the "First World" vs. the "Third World," and the choices those in the 3rd world have to make to make ends meet. [ Every trip I make, I like to call in the temple to check out the medallions, and have a chat with a couple of old wise monks. I had to literally drag Pancake across the road, as soon as I told her I was going into the temple for some reason. I sensed she had a problem entering the temple grounds. Now in my past experience, with the witch not able to enter the temple, I was taught how to deal with it. If someone has a problem, without interrogating them on what the problem is, just simply say I borrow your problem, and then you can enter freely to pay respect. Normally that person then has the chance to pray for that problem to go away. Therefore, when exiting the temple grounds, I wouldn’t have to give the problem back, as the person has prayed for it to disappear, and the problem does not exist anymore. If it’s some kind of superstitious evil they think they have, then I just convince them that entering with me, I would be their balance, a ying and yang thing so to speak. It’s just pure psychology more that religious superstition. So I borrowed the problem from her and Pancake calmed down. We both climbed the temple steps, shoes off, and entered. I sort of quickly walked to the right side where a donation box is hung on the wall hovering over some bits and bobs. I made a donation for her of 100 baht, normally Thais give something like 20 baht if that’s all they can afford. I then quickly picked up a lotus flower, a couple of joss sticks, a candle, and a slither of gold leaf, handed the whole thing to her and said, “Now you go pray for good luck.” There was Pancake again, with that strange look, from the night before. I think she was looking for a bloody halo, hovering above my head. She went on to pray, first putting the flower in a vase, burning the candle and joss sticks and setting them in their appropriate place, and after her prayer she would walk right up to the Buddha and look for a place where the bronze is showing through, and cover that spot with the gold leaf, while I checked out the medallions.
  13. Enjoyed the photos of Lek and Alis.
  14. Club 131 was one of my favorite bars. The girls were friendly, and the place had a fairly relaxed atmosphere. The talent was out of this world (Lek and Alis are still on my to do list). Franack lived the dream for a year or so. It would be interesting if one had a few extra baht to open up a similar joint just for the hell of it (I'm not crazy enough to think you could make much if any money at it). Anyone know where Alis ended up after her bar went belly up? A very smart cookie (with hips to die for). One of my favorite memories was shortly after Sam took over. He had brought in an old "Mr. Boston" bartender guide of his father's, and the bartender and I were trying out various mixed drinks that looked interesting in the guide.
  15. I've always been curious what the appeal to lip-syncing is and why TSs seem to love it. Either sing or don't sing, but its really stupid to move your lips along with a recording. The above show looked a little of the scary side.
