  1. For many of us I think we have to acknowledge that we've got older. For me for sure that is a factor. I no longer get the magnetic hum about sleaze that I used to. It's not just being used to any scene or anything like that. Nor technology, nor worries about mainstream taking over. I find that the whole sexotic adventure just doesn't wind me up like it used to, even as much as say, 5 years ago. Age does weary them, and the years condemn.
  2. When I was 9 or 10 years of age The Battle of New Orleans was briefly the biggest & most controversial hit on Australian radio (he sang the word "bloody" for heaven's sake - which the stations, due to public outcry, very quickly had to begin to BLEEP out) & I remember thinking it would be cool to be a star like Johnnie Horton. This was sometime like 1957 or 1958 or so. I even made myself a kind of musical instrument using a school ruler, 4 rubber bands & a used matchbox. Alas, with no sounding board or frets it only made a monotonous rubber bandy kind of dull twang, nothing like notes or chords, but let me briefly pretend it to be a guitar. I then flirted briefly with the songs & gyrations of the young generation of Elvis-imitators (or Elvis-influenced) like Bobby Rydell and Fabian. However, I soon learned I couldn't sing, stuck to only ever singing in private when no-one could make harsh judgments on my lack of ability, and thereafter gave up all ideas of being a musical beast.
  3. Yes, from me too: best wishes for the season & the new year to all at LBR.
  4. Lovely, my friend, lovely stories. Chuffs me old heart. Well done by you.
  5. And likewise, my friend. PS: love your Porcupine Tree Kwakiutl bird head avatar. Reminds me of Willie Seaweed.
  6. 54 now? My, how time is flying by, young man. Nice to see you here again dt.
  7. Most certainly. I still find many slim flat chested old VNese grannies very attractive. By then they have long given up wearing bras and I love the idea of getting my hands under their jarmie shirts.
  8. More pix & video covers of my former image-love Morelle (see above post): Ah, OK, the video covers must be protected somehow - I can't copy them here.
  9. The LB star I fell in love with (or with her images, more like) was Morelle de Keigh. I saw her in various movies plus bought a few magazines of her. Born in Columbia, she had that Chicano Latino beauty of skin colour dark eyes etc. Sadly died of AIDS in 1994, aged only 25 years. Made her name (& movies) in NYC late 80s early 90s. PS: I wondered if her stage name was a rendition of more el dickeee...
  10. It's only happened to me once, a couple or few years ago in Phnom Penh. I was chock a block up a LB called Ly Ly, a bubbly little thing who was fun to be with. With me crawling all over her back, when she took the call the phone was only inches from my ear. The guy spoke non-English & she replied, though sparingly, in what I presume was Khmer. Then at the end she said in English: "Twenty minutes, OK, twenty minutes." The call ended & so did I. She hastily got her shit together, saying in English, "I have to go now." "Another customer?" She grinned, took 20USD off me (cheap), & was on her way. She was nice about it, and I found myself at ease with what had happened. She was pretty popular in PP at that time, so I figured even without the call she would not have stayed around with me, but gone to find more cash straight after the event.

    Vietnam LBs

If you look carefully at the CL page you'll see several claim to be visiting VN (from where: PI? BKK?). Also several or more have three or so posts. So all up it looks like, even though at first take the list looks long & impressive, there are really only about 4 or 5 VN LBs advertising on there.

    Vietnam LBs

There are a few available on backpage, but they are expensive & sound a bit suss to me. These days I am out of touch with the scene, hence cannot name a gay or LB bar in the city. But they'll be there somewhere. Will just take a bit of searching, that's all. Probably best to just move around, do a few pub crawls, eat at various places. LBs tend to work as wait staff in eateries, or at least hang out there & in beer bars, in groups & gaggles.
  13. Contrary to some other views here, I don't see why not. Sunee is a fairly quiet place after all, by Pattaya standards, and I can't see that a LB bar would detract from its ambience, or make it into a wild raging locale. It might add a bit of colour and diversity to the gayboy scene. Some mentioned other bars in the area, but I think of those two in Soi VC just at the mouth of Sunee. They have LBs on staff, who will go with customers too if asked. They certainly don't make any problems for the mostly gayboy lot who frequent those bars (names forgotten now - good grief, how long it is since I've been back there).

    Vietnam LBs

A new LB documentary from Vietnam, entitled Finding Phong. The usual plot; boy grows up feeling he is really a girl, gets to young adulthood to discover many others feel the same way, seeks Gender Reassignment Surgery, has all the complicated negotiations with family, friends, etc., for acceptance. Advertising here: http://findingphong.com/ Video can be watched here (password VNPhong): https://vimeo.com/110754377 Enjoy! EDIT: Have no idea what happened there. I end up with a Sorry box that says vid can't be played. Try the vimeo link & see what happens. EDIT #2: Yep, that works. Same password as above.
  15. Ha, anubis, don't you actually mean: sod Miran?
  16. The Japanese taught me about schoolgirls & I am now addicted. Get my vote.
  17. 1) tiny chest 2) unseen chest but lovely straight tool 3) boy's chest, big cock. Mmmmmm - so hard to choose. I'll go with (1) till further notice, Miharu.
  18. Damn. You do it while I'm out of the country. Can't you hold off till November?
  19. Of course. Magazines & videos provided my first appreciations of LBs (trannies, back then). But like all others on the thread I gave them up with advent of internet. In fact so redundant & unlooked-at had they become in my cupboard, that when packing up and clearing out my house before I moved to VN to live in 2004, they all went unceremoniously into the wheelie bin.

    La Bamba Top 10

Well Sam, I am most definitely a misogynist on various other fronts. So yes, worth clearing that small point up.

    La Bamba Top 10

Had this horrid realisation this morning that apart from Mama Cass leading on #8 it was a totally male list (please, I am NOT a misogynist re music). So, a second, alternative & backup bench/substitute list: 11. Brass in Pocket - Pretenders (Chrissie Hynde) 12. Tide is High - Blondie (Debbie Harry) 13. (I got) A Bird that Whistles - Joni Mitchell 14. What Have They Done to My Song, Ma? - Melanie
