  1. Attended 6 of the Team parties so far - what a turn out. It has been a Marathon. Every Party has been unique and a lot of fun. Most BMs have now collected their pre-paid Tickets but quite a few have not. All the parties, in Pattaya, have been attended, by members of the other Pattaya participating teams, which is a terrific show of support for each other. May the best team win. Please try to get your tickets, after 9pm, either at Baby Boom's party tonight (Thursday) or at Stringfellows tomorrow (Friday). Alternative is to collect at Areca Lodge Lobby tomorrow (Friday 31st) between 7 and 8pm. Chronology of Parties so far. Temptations This was the first party and well attended. A GoGo bar is not the easiest to host a party but it was great fun with the team showing off their team colours. Father Giovanni who runs the Camillian home also attended. He is a terrific guy. He spoke to all the Team, in Thai, and made a special effort to speak to the staff who visited the home earlier this year. All the profit from this party was donated by the owners. They also had a collection in all their bars and have contributed an extra 60,000 Baht. ALL the staff (LadyBoys and Ladies) all contributed. Many thanks to the owners. Check In Bar What a fabulous display of LadyBoys - they all looked incredible sporting their new team bikinis. The real surprise was a show by one LB - candle wax and beer...... June runs a great bar and does a great job. The supporter shirts were a great idea, Many BMs in attendance. La Bamba The bar was heaving all night long and it was great to meet up with so many BMs. The bar had one of the busiest nights ever and well deserved. The chances of winning are slim but they are wonderful supporters - and they always look fantastic. TJ's Another great night out for BMs and the staff A group of BM's booked 2 Baht Bus to get there and for many a first visit. Quite a few are determined to return A great open bar with both LB and GG to entertain you. It is only a 10 Baht bus ride to Soi 18 - worth the effort. Kings Bar As the owner said - 'I need a bigger bar'. The bar was packed with some great food and was well attended by BMs Distributed many pre-paid tickets and 'resell' some returns. The owner is a very generous guy and spent all the night's profits by ringing the bell. He also donated 500 Baht extra for each sponsorship of his bar. However he did forget to buy his wife a ticket...... Sensations As last year's champions the bar was packed with BM's and staff. The real surprise was the new style team, and supporter, bikinis - looked fantastic. Managed to off load quite a few pre-paid tickets and consume a lot of Tiger beers. As an open Beer bar it has the advantage of much more space to accommodate customers. Two more parties to attend - Baby Boom and Stringfellows - the main LB GoGo bars in Pattaya. Thanks to all the Bars for their fantastic parties - I hope someone captured the 'Kodak Moment' in each one and will post the pictures. Hopefully Saturday will be sunny and allow all the teams to excel. LBWVB is now an established event and creates a platform for the LB's, and participating bars, to show how they also contribute to the community. Enormous thanks to the bars, their staff and to all the BM's who have contributed. It is our event and we should all be very proud of what it achieves: Raise money for Charity Promote the LadyBoys in a positive way Promote the participating venues Have fun Recently at a presentation there was a Recipe for Success - Pad Thai Passion Action Delivery Transparency Honesty Accountability Integrity That is what it is all about. http://www.lbwvb.com

  3. Great news. When we created the web site it was just so the LBs could view all the photos in one place. Now, in our third year, we needed to 'tidy up' all the content to make it more user friendly and promote what we have all achieved. I hope you like the new style - you can easily look at your favourite LB in your favourite bar. Select 'Logo - Year' -> Final Scores -> Gallery http://lbwvb.com/ There is even a search function - sorry, not by LB name! Many thanks to a fellow BM who funded all the work and another BM who did all the Tech work. Awesome result 2014 Brochure V1.0Edit2.pdf
  4. Only 6 weeks until the Event. Update on Tickets Sensations, Check In Bar, Stringfellows, are all Sold Out LaBamba, TJs, Kings Bar, BabyBoom may have 2 Sponsorships left each but these may already be reserved Temptations (Bangkok) waiting further information. There may be some possible returns or 'No-Shows' but this will only be at the last minute. The total available is a limitation of the contract with the Hotel - squeezing in extra people will make it overcrowded.
  5. There was a fourth one in that crew - not as pretty but nice person - Thip
  6. tuulginmass Every time I looked at it I saw "San Miguel"
  7. Not only on the piss - I endured the opening night, of the restaurant, which was highligted with Kareoke - I have been tone deaf ever since! Actually a nice guy. I think the bars were an indlugence for his wife as they open & close like a revolving door. What was the name of the guy, and his occupation, who owned Triple X.
  8. The guy is a Lawyer but am not sure of his wife's normal occupation. They also own a Thai restaurant on 3rd Road going South between the Diana driving range and traffic lights. The bars in the VIP complex, on Soi 29/1 in Naklua, seem to be going through a refurb and I am not sure their other bars in Soi 7 and 8 are still going. That would leave Soi 2 as the only Family bar still open.
  9. Whoops...... BANGKOK – The winner of a national beauty pageant has caused an uproar on social media after critical remarks about the pro-government Redshirts were discovered on her Facebook page. Weluree "Fai" Ditsayabut, 22, was crowned Miss Universe Thailand last night in a popular beauty pageant broadcast live on the state-owned Channel 3 TV. However, many pro-government supporters quickly discovered that Ms. Weluree has regularly published disparaging comments about the Redshirt movement on Facebook. In one "public" comment from November, Ms. Weluree accused Redshirts of being "anti-monarchy" dissidents, and suggested that Thailand will be cleaner once the "dirty" Redshirts leave the country. "I am not neutral. I am on the side of His Majesty the King," Ms. Weluree wrote. "I'm so angry at these evil activists. They should all be executed." Enraged by Ms. Weluree's remarks, a number of Redshirt supporters have since condemned her victory as Miss Universe Thailand on social media. A number of people have questioned whether Ms. Weluree is suitable to represent Thailand in the international pageant stage when she appears to despise fellow Thais in such a virulent way. Ms. Weluree's winning of the Miss Universe crown also surprised many reporters who expected another popular candidate, Pimbongkod "Ellie" Chankaew, to take the title. According to the pageant profiles, Ms. Weluree is an accomplished actress, talk show host, and student at Kasetsart University's English Department. Repeated efforts to contact Ms. Weluree and the pageant organisers were unsuccessful.
  10. A follow up of each and every Charity, to benefit, was promised and now we have the last Visit to Camillian Homes. What a fantastic contribution - many thanks. Still looking for some generous sponsors this year. We have some very worthy Charities proposed and those will be announced later. Many thanks to Temptations/Cockatoo for managing the team visit. http://www.lbwvb.com...1/Camillian.pdf
  11. The uniqueness of Thailand is the number of LB venues - no other country has anything like this. Certainly there are lots of LBs in other countries but they do not have the same bar infrastructure. This is not an invasion yet! This is just a scouting party. Next year sees the formalization of ASEAN - open borders. That will be the real invasion from: Members: Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam
  12. Enjoyed the competition - started at 9pm and finished about midnight - various breaks for Commercials Number 21 was a popular winner.

Any unsold before 1st November will be on sale at the actual Event Much discussion about the style and text. 15. Initially looked like a simple answer but then started considering all the 'Lost Bars'. Club 131 was the first bar to really see the benfit of Forums and Frank did a great job capitalising on this media. Franks Diary. He was Mr Charming and I always quoted from My Fair Lady: "As he oiled his way across the floor, oozing charm from every pore" He was a professional con-man with a wonderful personality. He could of had it all but really screwed up. The bar lasted only 6 months. The number of people, who came looking for the bar, and just walked past it. They had assumed, from the internet, that it was a huge emporium and not a single shop unit EZY Bar was a new offering in Pattaya and Mr Music Man and his team were a real cut above, He also saw the power of the internet and used it well. I guess his legacy lives on with many ex Ezy staff at Sensations. Koyo Bar was a terrific location but always too brightly lit. Goldfingers had some memorable parties and it was always funny to hear/see Bob and Pa switching staff, by Baht Bus, when one venue was short of staff. Sally's Bar was always different - outside Pattaya and very laid back compared to the City. Anaconda had all the pretensions of becoming THE bar in town. It had great promise and looked ready to deliver when it closed. The sign is still there. That left me with Triple X. It was like the Wild West - crazy, frantic, insane and a great deal of fun. Even Frank was a regular visitor on his motorbike. Triple X gets my vote just becasue it was so insane. Screaming LBs running up and down 2nd Road at 2am - can you imagine that today opposite their pristine Central Shopping Mall? There are so many other smaller bars that have vanished but they were more clique.
  16. Right and wrong Eve did have a Swiss BF for a while but SLBT swept her off her feet..... She worked in Dave Man Club for a while (reception) and Baby Boom as cashier. She was always a very stunning, and passable, LB but then put on some weight - too much Haggis. Have not seen Eve around for a long time but Jenny was in touch recently. Jenny had a BF in Oz but I have no idea what she is doing now. Sorry no phone number - learned that lesson years ago! There were 2 other regulars at Char Nee but I cannot remember their names. That was a great bars as was Cha La Lai Caberet - lost good venues. It is tough running a business in Pattaya let alone a bar. Well done to the quiz masters - brings back memories. So many of the old venues have gone. Like them, or hate them, they were different.
  17. Cha La Lai was the caberet. It was open air and a good place to chill out with sensible prices.
  18. The bar was Char Nee bar in Drinking Street. Jenny on the right. Pai on the left and the honey in the middle is Eve. She also did a stint as cashier at BabyBoom. Sometimes visited friends in VIP complex in Naklua
  19. Many of you helped raise the 1,000,000 Baht. This is how it was spent. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of needy Charities so selection is difficult and emotional. A few BMs asked that we lean our support to charities closer to the LB community. Heartt2000 is a Clinic based in Pattaya that provides medication for free. Sensations and Baby Boom selected the Heartt2000 project for their follow up visit - thanks to Scott and Josh. http://www.lbwvb.com...tt2000-HIV2.pdf HIV is a daily risk so 3 charities were associated with that infection - the 4th Charity was Water4Life: http://www.lbwvb.com...rs-of-Water.pdf Life Home Trust in Phuket is for women and children with HIV - thanks to Jimbo for his report: http://www.lbwvb.com...th-Oct-2013.pdf Camillian Homes takes care of disabled children, Mentally and Physically handicapped, which also includes some HIV cases. This is the last Charity to be visited - Team Temptations/Cockatoo are planning soon. Thanks

  21. Moo was the most publicised but I also think Cartoon used to often have short hair.
  22. This year's poster - now in all the Pattaya bars competing. Should be in the 3 Bangkok bars in early April. Early April the bars will have Tickets, Beer mats (with a quiz), Beer condoms, Baseball Caps.
  23. Video Link Many Thanks to Hefe (our fellow Board member) for a terrific job of editing. Some mobile devices may not work so use
  24. Quick update. Visiting a village in Chantaburi to deliver 250 Water Filters for the Rotary Club project "Water4Life" this weekend. To give you an idea the village is only accessible by boat - Indiana Jones style trip. MiniVan to Chantaburi Travelling up river by Fishtail boat with 250 Water Filters and a number of charity supporters. Individuals cover their own expenses. Many villages, in rural Thailand, do not have a reliable clean drinking water supply and there is no floating 711 nearby! Rotary (as a recipient last year) nominated this village to show and thank us for our contribution. LBWVB gets support from Rotary and were looking for a specific Project that we could have ownership of - the Water4Life fitted well. So travelling with two team members from both Stringfellows and Kings Bar. It is terrific to have the LB staff join us so that they too can see what they achieve through our outrageous fund raiser. TJs and LaBamba joined the visit to the Orphanage, in January, to see the new roof on the Deaf school. LBWVB took a 15 litre tub of ice cream and the staff from the bars arrived (last as usual) with fresh fruit, colouring books, crayons and other great items. That is a real sign of committment from the participating bars. It also show where the money was used in a very visible way. The teams make the actual day and event. Through them we need Sponsors, Donations, Ticket buyers. When this all started it was seen as whacky and doomed to fail. Pattaya Mail were stunned that, a little known about community, can challenge some of the bigger more established fund raisers. LBWVB did an interview, for Pattaya TV, a month before the event and the closing question was: "How can people buy a ticket" The answer was "We are sold out!" The interviewer laughed and said "Why are we doing the interview.....?" The objectives have always been: Raise money for charity at the lowest cost Improve the image of the LBs Promote the participating bars through positive publicity Have a fun filled day and evening together. In each of the 2 prevous years the event has over achieved and it is hoped that, with a solid reputation behind us, we can really make a difference in 2104. You can help make that difference.
  25. For me the holiday is still there - even after 8 years of living here. I live way out of town so a trip into the 'den of iniquity' is still fun. Most evenings life is just normal living BUT 15 minutes by car and I am in LB Land. Beats taking a 11 hour flight. Interesting that living out of town actually saves money. I have to think if I want to go into town - if I lived in town I would fall out of the door and be in the melee. Prices in Pattaya town are incredible. I bought 4 Kilo of fresh oranges for 100 Baht in my local market Villa market wanted 129 Baht PER ONE Kilo. It is easy to get jaundiced with the scene - familiarty breeds contempt - but I enjoy the company of many visitors when in town. A fraternity feeling in most of the bars.
