@Rom I am unable to turn back pages on here. I remember you posting a pic of the lb twins on a previous TR. Could you please repost it? I encountered them two years ago when I stayed at VT6. I was going back to condo late after bars in Tree Town had closed and one said Hello to me, the other was behind her. I Said Hello but was too drunk to take them back. Kind of regretted that since. Do you know if they are still around? They aren't in pics posted by @BonBar above.

Cafe owner came round and told everyone that they could buy alcohol until 6pm and finish them within a reasonable time. A number of customers were unaware of the restriction.

Purely guessing, but I would think you will still have to do the finger prints and biometric photo on arrival. The main reason for this digital TM6 seems to be so there is a better record of where you will be staying, but if you are someone who has previously been banned from Thailand or has criminal convictions or tagged by police forces elsewhere they will be able to immediately identify you if you attempt entry.

I'm not desperate to drink, but will probably go to eat in cafe around 5pm, so if they are still selling alcohol I'll buy a couple of glasses of wine to drink with my meal.

I had to go to Post Office in Soi 5 yesterday, after an hour long (!) transaction which included showing my passport, in order to send an Express letter to UK which cost 1000 baht, I was in need of refreshment. I called in to Roadhouse bar. Lb Kelly is back there after being in Bangkok since covid restrictions. She is the only lb in bar now. She said there was one other but she went home to see family a month ago, and maybe she won't return I've never bf'd Kelly but she is a pleasant girl with good English and nice to have a drink and a chat with. She told me that Nuch who also used to work there had called in before Christmas and was well. I was glad to hear that as a couple of years ago when I called in bar one of the girls told me Nuch had a motorbike accident after she went back to home village and had serious head injury, and family were trying to raise money for hospital treatment. I was fearing the worst so it was great to hear it ended well. Som, a former stalwart of the bar had gone home to village, where she had been buying land and now keeping many buffalo. Another former Roadhouse lb, May, had died from cirrohsis of the liver. Sadly a danger of working and drinking in a bar, may she rest in peace.

Pattaya News says 6pm. My second question still stands.

I read elsewhere that it is 6pm bar closure tonight, which is correct. Also is it just sale that is prohibited? If I buy a couple of alcoholic drinks this evening in cafe/restaurant before prohibition time can I still keep and drink them after 5/6pm?
