I guess I meant studio recordings. Bugger, I should have said 'Like a Rolling...' Like you say, so many to choose from.

I'm sure I am not alone at least on this thread feeling a lot of frustration with people who say he can't sing. It's usually the reason why many say they can't listen to him. O alright.....he can't sing 555. Not in the conventional sense. But like a few so called non-singers he still turns in great vocal performances (Tom Waits, Lou Reed, Shane MacGowan are others who come to mind) ... So a question to the Dylan fans - What are your favourite Bob vocal performances? I guess mine is Lay Lady Lay. Others are Song For Woody, Don't Think Twice It's Alright ... (curious to know 'cos i'm far from a Dylan 'complete-ist' familiar with all his work).

I noticed her too. My immediate thought wasn't LB, but I did admire her moxie giving a V sign and a little wriggle under arrest !!

Someone I know who saw his last tour said Dylan didn't speak once to the audience in the entire show. He also doesn't play guitar anymore (arthritis) .. BUT it's still an amazing show to see. His band is top notch and the recent material from Rough Ways and Rowdy is just about equal to some of his best work. If his world tour gets to me I'd love to see it - perhaps the last rock concert I'll ever see ... Go Bob!

A bit of windy upskirt 1:01. Woohoo.

Mary Clayton - It might be spelled Merry Clayton. The story goes (myth?) that she so over-did it singing with Jagger she miscarried a pregnancy. She also sang back up with Lynnerd Skinnyrd (sp?) on Sweet Home Alabama. I envy you guys who have seen the Stones. Since I was old enough they've only got down to the penal colonies twice, and each time I couldn't go.
-
Without cheating, can anyone name the vocalist who sang with Mick on the original studio recording (Gimme Shelter) ? (Edit - Woohoo. I've just become a "Walking ATM" )
-
The Stones were formed the year I was born .....and I consider myself old now. My favourite band and it's terrific they're touring again. Charlie's missed by everyone of course, but I think Steve Jordan is finding his groove and place in the band. Still a great band IMO. Though I'm not sure about Keef's yellow skull cap .. Did he put it on in the dark!!?

Probably Gen Z, actually. K-Pop fans are typically teenagers.
-
K-Pop is worthless but don't under estimate its legions of fans. On another website I had a go at it and something called the "BTS Army" fell on me like several tonnes of bricks. I've never had so much vitriol in my life. I barely got out of there alive 555

Awful part of the world .....I'll say no more. I'm glad the Thai woman got home. -
The Sunny, Sara and Teya Show

I shouldn't share this really, but Sunny beat me fair and square at arm wrestling! Quelle embarrassment! -
The Sunny, Sara and Teya Show
Jimmy Cargopants replied to bumblebee's topic in Emmy's Bar's Teya & Sunny & Sara Show
I wish Sunny well too..... it's a weird thing - not knowing whether to bed someone or get the adoption papers (definitely feel paternalistic toward her). I'd much rather she was traveling with someone. Shame about the hair cut too, and I do not wish to see a recent pic with her returned to a mannish haircut!!! -

Grunts Irish music Hootenanny
Jimmy Cargopants replied to blind boy grunt's topic in Emmy's Bar's Old Katty Bar Archives
I don't have anything like the familiarity with Irish music as Grunt - but the Pogues (already mentioned here) were my absolutely favourite band in the eighties. And this one (I picture myself with Quinn and a jug of whiskey doing a wild jig in bar to this with a very bewildered ladyboy!) --- -
Thanks @Pdoggg The last 2 trips I stayed in Jomtien and often went for long walks on Beach Rd going the other direction. I don't think I ever ventured far up the north end. The one time I went a little way I was put off by a local guy coming up and asking intrusive questions and didn't want to go further. I have no idea what I'd say to Ms Camel Toe except "Do you know Grunt?!"
-
Nope. Doesn't ring any bells ! Lol

I recognise the beach, but the first three minutes - where was that filmed?
-
Thanks BBG. I thought the video was interesting because of the range of people in it. I had really thought that the farang remaining in TH must be older retired expats. Not so. Quite a number of younger guys seen, and I wonder how they're there - the "sandbox" entry program? or other? Anyway they're all clearly bastards because they're there and we're not!!! I'd eat my cargo shorts (ew) to swap places. I wish I knew Miss "Camel Toe"!

Yes, welcome aboard Fenton!

Sadly, it's got to be Dr No.

I have no sympathy for them. They were arrogant. But if the Covid rules are supposed to ensure safe social distancing, I struggle to see how that's achieved by herding them together onto pick ups, into a police station and a room for booking. Kinda defeats the purpose in my view.
