well,well,well, what a night! it was busy ,busy,busy. I'm talking about Teya's birthday bash of course.

I arrived at approximately 8.30, and Teya was still standing. Poor kid had  suffered from a heavy cold for four days but thankfully had just about recovered, but was taking things easy, for a while anyway! Nobody recognised her at first as she was wearing a long blonde wig.

for a while the party meandered along slowly, then it around 9.30  went absolutely crazy. Quinn was being the genial host, which in his sweet way means glaring at incomers and saying 'Oy! don't even think of grabbing my chair mate!

many BMs there from whatever forum, and many many LBs, it was rocking! Quinn and I did a quick customer count around 10pm, and it was almost impossible. Emmy's little holy temple was packed inside and out. We decided on at least 60 people. Extra tables had to be borrowed from the place opposite. And the LBs kept appearing from out of the woodwork. A lot of them teya's friends from the volleyball nightly beach game. One LB was a dancer from the Coliseum show and did her act quite happily.

Too many foreigners to mention by name, some of them i didn't know anyway.  A special mention for BM Ciobha and his beautiful partner... nice to meet you Liverpool fan! Also Bumblebee celebrating some good news, welcome to the LBP outcasts club BB! Breathe the fresh air.....

Midnight and the foreigners starting strolling off, but LBs kept strolling in from wherever... a lot of them were still partying on the beach near my apartment at 6 this morning

An excellent night, best ever.

if so i decided to wear my food critic investigators hat and check it out today. Boy, i wish i hadn't.

Quite possibly one of the top 3 worst breakfasts i have ever had in Jomtien.

Look for the menu...NO! the only one in sight was being perused by someone, so i rashly thought that i'd just order a small breakfast. Big mistake.

 a plate arrived, with food swimming in grease. Bacon must have been dipped in the fat for 3 seconds... it was raw.

The egg was cold and hard, it must have been cooked overnight.

and even worse in my book, Toast, butter, preserve came... but no separate knife to use. okay, use your brains Grunt thought i. Finish the main plate and clean the knife with a tissue!... easy... but no tissues !!!

 Thinking of a plus, the tea came in a teapot, so kudos there.

but the food? i would rather have eaten hoss shit.

Do you recall that i lost my mask a few months ago? Of course you do... Well i can report that i found it yesterday in my backpack thingy.

I have never known such excitement since Lily once said hello to me. It's  black! The mask not Lily that is. I don't remember what colour it was originally but it's pretty black now. It's got a few stains on it too, but you can blame Teya for that.

anyway, i have decided that the said mask will be presented as a prize to the winner of the Booster Bro of the year contest which will possibly happen soon.

i have even been shopping most of today for his xmas present from me. This was not easy either, with him changing so much from a Cowpoke to a commie pinko, and also a tranny. I just wasn't sure what to buy for him.

in the end, i had a great idea [i thought] and went to one of those shops where they do paintings.

i got him an autographed painting of Clint Eastwood, wearing a dress rather than a poncho. and waving a red flag. All bases covered i thought. Unfortunately this being Thailand they got the autograph wrong, putting the 'l' and the 'i' too close together in Clint. Never mind QG, an autographed picture of Cunt Eastwood will look great on your wall.

i would agree that the bar is too far down the street. Actually the whole Soi was very quiet last night, as was most of Jomty except for a few bars on soi 7.

Emmy has her share of busy and quiet nights as with most bars in Jomtien. She's survived for years through lockdowns etc. She'll no doubt keep on doing so.

She knows the location's unsuitability, and is actively looking around for a better place, but the problem as ever, is rent cost..

There are on some nights more of her freelance staff hanging around, but on a quiet night they tend to hit Soi Buck looking for custom.
