  2. Seoul update Thanks to Fenton's new find and Pirate Dan (the guy who shot a video in Itaewon), I can give a few more location updated in 2021 in Usadan-ro 14 gil and Usadan-ro 10 ga-gil. These are bars with a sign in English saying "transgender bar". To the best of my knowledge, we can't say what kind of service to expect from transgenders supposed to work inside. Do Jo (see above) Number One Play A bar with a Korean namebetween Star's and Betty Betty (Sweetheart) The bar has no sign saying "transgender bar" but a rainbow as a store sign. There can be more interesting places such as this place called GentleMan a little bit further. Anyway, it's a 300 ft walk from Dojo to GentleMan walking passing in front of all the bars.

  4. It had a great innings all the same. From its opening in late 2007/early 2008 in the old location opposite, it was always a good place to meet up and start off the night back in its hay day.

  5. So it looks like Nok has finally thrown in the towel and called it a day at La Bamba. Not a surprise really, the only surprise was that she held out this long. The pandemic was the final nail, but as has been mentioned, the writing was on the wall a long time ago. The finances required to get the bar up and running again, possibly only to see it closed within a few weeks with new restrictions, were not there, and the desire to keep the place going faded a long time ago. All the girls living in the bar have now moved out, and will be seeking employment elsewhere. Some of them will find it easier than others - a number of them have been La Bamba institutionalised, so to speak, and may find it hard to adapt to another bar. Miss Sindy was interested in taking over the reigns and keeping the bar running in her name, but couldn't find a mug who was willing to finance it for her.

  8. Good news for @Quietguy: From the government's official PR department: 7 January 2022-- An update from the Thai government regarding Thailand's #COVID19 situation, reporting from the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) Highlights: - The CCSA General Meeting today adjusted the zoning categories for disease control measures, effective from 9 January 2022. With this update, all 69 provinces are categorized as a controlled areas (orange zone) except the 8 pilot tourism/sandbox areas (blue zone) provinces/areas which remain the same. The blue zone includes Bangkok, Kanchanaburi, Krabi, Chonburi, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Phang Nga, Phuket and some districts in other provinces that considered as the pilot toursim areas. - The CCSA decided to highly recommend all agencies implementing the Work from Home measure until 31 January 2022. - The entertainment venues such as pub/bar/karaoke are allowed to temporarily open as restaurants from 16 January 2022. The venues are required to strictly exercise the COVID-free Setting measure and need to be approved by the provincial authority before 15 January 2022. - For the provinces/areas in the blue zone, an alcoholic beverage consumption in the restuarants is allowed until 21.00 hrs. under COVID-Free Settings and only in the restaurant that received the SHA plus certificate. - CCSA General Meeting today discussed that the prior restrictions for travelers from Africa will be lifted. Therefore, international travelers from all countries can enter Thailand while undergoing the same measures. From 11 January 2022 onwards, travelers can register to enter Thailand through Sandbox scheme via Surat Thani Sandbox, Phang Nga Sandbox and Krabi Sandbox which is an extension from the Phuket Sandbox scheme in order to reduce limited capacities for Phuket. - For the Test and Go scheme, the registration under this scheme is still being suspended until further notice. However, those who have already received QR code can still travel to Thailand as scheduled under test and go measures. The CCSA will constantly adapt the measures as necessary including consider the time limitation for approved travelers under test and go scheme and we will inform you as soon as there are further updates. - For people who get positive result from the ATK test kit, you should immediately isolate yourself from your family members. Then, please visit hospital to confirm the result with an RT-PCR test. https://fb.watch/anEO8yXPbP/

  9. Pattaya reinforces strict ATK checks for employees and guests On January 7, Pol. Col. Kulchat Kulchai, Superintendent of the Pattaya City Police Station, together with representatives from the Public Health Office, had a meeting with entertainment venue operators in Pattaya to clarify the strictness of ATK inspections on the part of operators, shop staff and tourists alike. Entrepreneurs have allegedly opened their venues beyond the time limit and they are disobeying the order of the Governor. Warning from the Pattaya City Police to the bar-restaurant operators: Any venue that breaks the law will face serious consequences as the matter will then be presented to the provincial Governor and the shop will be closed permanently. https://www.posttoday.com/social/local/672432 Translated from Thai into English via Google Translate so please bear with me...

He stayed in room 1601 on the 16th floor of a 24-storey condominium in central Pattaya. Inside the room, a packet of chocolate and liquor was found on the table. The gentleman, named Mr Tim XXX, XXX, had suffered from a congenital desease. https://www.naewna.com/local/627024 https://www.komchadluek.net/news/500074 R.I.P.

  11. If he experiences anything like what I did when getting a bus from Heathrow to that other tinpot airport, (Gatfield), he would be turned off!. After travelling around the world and arriving bleary eyed, I had the temerity to ask a driver standing next to the bus what time it would be leaving. He was talking to another about some horse parade or something and went on and on. In the end I tried to interject at a time he was taking breath. Wow, was that the biggest insult I could have made. He had a go at me in his Welsh accent saying would I go away and not interrupt. When I suggested that he was a driver and I was asking a question about his bus, he went off even worse. We eventually got on the bus but he would not let it go making comments in front of the other passengers that I should not interrupt his conversation. I put it down to unionism at its best. I gave him a gobful and told him to get on with his job etc etc. That was some time ago, and perhaps things such as the service industry have improved. Who knows?.

  16. This year was the year of the Western Trans Woman for The Sith. But what is The Sith to do when he meets a very cool Caucasian Trans woman on Tinder. Who wants to fuck for NO money. And has ”SITH” tattooed on her chest? Yet also upon close up investigation has the type of Caucasian skin that looks 20 years older than her Asian sisters. Do you fuck it? That's a 2021 dilemma for me.

  17. Trying to compare the Covid 19 pandemic with a 1978 Smallpox incident in Birmingham is not an equivalency. Smallpox vaccination was routine and required in the UK until 1971. It was then stopped as Smallpox was declared "eradicated" by the WHO in 1980 - although there are some countries that still have "pockets" of infection. A detailed description of the incident can be found in Wikipedia 1978 smallpox outbreak in the UK The photographer had her last vaccination in 1966, but did not receive the booster (recommended every 3 years). In the case of her mother who contracted Smallpox on September 7, 1978 she survived with minor symptoms having been vaccinated on August 24, 1978 (which was 4 days after her daughter was diagnosed). Apparently this was enough to boost the mother's immune system to protect her. In this case a significant % of the population had some some immunity to the smallpox virus - while in the case of Covid 19, most of the population had no immunity to the virus. This would reduce the transmissibility of Smallpox virus back then. However, if the same incident happened now, there would likely be a widespread epidemic until the vaccine could be produced in sufficient quantities. They keep 2 samples of smallpox viruses around just in case (at the CDC in the US and the State Research Center of Virology and Biotechnology in Russia). There are limited amounts of smallpox vaccine available.

  18. nope. maybe it's not as popular anymore.....I don't know......... but there is a different way for Katoeys. Someone who is married/close to a Thai LB can ask to do the research.....that's not Google so it doesn't break the rules of this thread. if you guys want me to just tell you the answer I can do that too. Yet this isn't a queston about Postage Stamps, French History or Football...... Can I have ”Katoey Phrases for $500 Alex?”

  19. Probably only a concession for allowing entertainment venues to open on January 16th.. I'm a little bit surprised that they didn't change the closing time for bar-restaurants. Do they really believe people will sit from 9 pm - midnight in a bar without drinking alcohol? I'm also surprised that they allow karaoke bars and other entertainment venues to open soon, despite the rise in omicron cases, particularly in Chonburi...

  20. I believe that guy knows his stuff and hits proper scientific sources, big on peer reviewed data, etc. I hope he's right, the damage done by the over reaction and misinformed LOS gov has been fatal to probably thousands of small businesses. Seems many either closed for good (while the big boys UPGRADED, hmmm). I believe the lockdown and restrictions have done more harm than the disease. Very sad. An end to all this soon would bring shouts of joy from the world.

  32. I can tell you Big Tel, it was anything but slow. One of the most efficient things I have witnessed in a long time. Okay, granted the airport was quiet with very few arrivals, but I was off the plane, down the concourse, through the covid pass checks (my arse was parked on one of those blue seats for less than 10 seconds), and through immigration in a total of 17 minutes, which I timed intentionally. Longest wait I had was for my suitcase, ffs. They certainly have it very well organised I must say. All in, wheels of the plane hit the tarmac at 12.05 and I was at the hotel (only a few minutes from the airport, overlooking the runway), PCR test done and checking in to my room at 1pm.

  33. If you have stomach issues, particularly if you have stomach/intestinal ulcers don't use ibuprofen, nurofen or any other NSAIDs as they will make those issues worse. NSAIDS have GI side effects, some quite serious (GI bleeds), particularly if taken long term.

  34. South Korea South Korea doesn't seem to be the place to monger ladyboys. After searching old posts in old forums (such forums can be gold mines if you like web archeology), I found a few bar names in Seoul : Gimme 5, Madrid, Trans Rose, Boccachio, Akasaka, Yobo Yobo. It seems that all these bars vanished from the landscape in Seoul, except maybe Akasaka that is now a Japanese restaurant. All of these places could be found in "Homo hill", the gay area in the neighbourhood of Itaewon around Usadan-ro-12. The only remaining club now seems to be Why Not bar, a gay bar in Itaewon (10, Usadan-ro 12-gil Yongsan-gu Seoul 140-858 – Itaewon Station (Line 6), exit 3). Prices seemed to be very expensive : 100 $ to 300 $ (I can't say whether that was CAN$, US$ or AUS$) for a ST, LD not included between 2005 and 2008. Prices were so expensive that mongers recommended to get an airline ticket to Bangkok and spend money in BKK or Pattaya instead of Seoul. Click on the above pic to open Google maps. I haven't a clue of what it is. Anyone finding reliable and recent information on ladyboys in South Korea will deserve a nomination (that I will support) at the Romscars.

  36. Fenton, so you are saying that there are states in the US that are communist?. California rates as the 5th biggest economy in the world. That is one state that rates higher than all counties in the world, bar 4. Is that a "commie" state?. Having visited China a few times and watched the country drag itself out of the mire, with infrastructure that makes all other countries look 3rd World. I am sure no commie but there are some features of communism which when watered down to a full on socialism structure work very well. Eg, state run medical systems, education for all at no extra cost, etc, etc. Scandinavia has good examples of that. Yes they get taxed to pay for it, and yes hopefully that taxation applies to the rich and the lower paid.No sytem is perfect, that's for sure.

  37. Not sure I follow you now. My life hasn't changed much, no personal horrific experiences but Covid/China fucked the world over for 2 years now and we haven't even begun to see all damages especially mentally as you eluded .The recession a la 1920s someone back then predicted obviously never happened thank fuck, but on other levels its unmeasurable. I'm well aware of the hardship many thais been through and still are. Some of these ladymen had a great year financially thanks to only fans, videoclip sales without having to move their ass out the door and fuck westerners.
