Well the out of season rice crop is finally finished, it was harvested today and got a decent yield from the 6 rai . All up the crop produced 4,000 kg at 6.20 baht per kg .

Thanks guys it was good to do and to see the results at the finish. It was getting a bit close to running out of water and then the rains came so all good. The other farm is nearly ready for the usual planting, a little more work to do then wait for the big rains and we will start. The John deere tractor I bought is getting plenty of use and the list is growing of farmers wanting work done , so I have given the job to Dao's dad, my Visa dosen't permit me to earn money in the Kingdom.

I don't agree with you and Rom about lb pricing soon being on a par with Western lbs. That will only happen if a lot of stars align. Eg, the powers that be in Thailand allow the lower classes to improve their standing. Why would they?. It keeps them down!. Lb prices will only increase dramatically if we as the customers pay stupid prices. Guys going around precovid throwing 3 or 4000 baht for a short time just to show that they are 2 week bigshots!. I bet now, that you could get the best for less than 1500. Things change and we as customers are the controlling force. If we resist the urge to splash out, (excuse the pun), and pay what is a reasonable price considering the cost base in Thailand, I think there is no reason for prices to skyrocket. Post covid,(if there is to be such a thing), numbers of tourists to Thailand will not be what they were before, so if there are the same number of lbs around, supply and demand will control the prices. ps I do like the lb in the photo. I am a sucker for that "look", except for the navel studs. Cant stand those.

I don't grant much importance to the future of Thai whores. I have invested neither in a bar nor in a condo in Pattaya or whatever beach station with bars and ladyboys. I started mongering in urope in the local market. Girls were veterans of the "sexual revolution" of the 1960s. Thay had learnt their business from the girls who had supplied services to the US Army before our President asked the NATO forces to go and look in other countries if our whores were serving there. These whores had replaced those who had served in the brothels for Nazi invaders. Then we started seeing new local girls : Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, then Arabic immigrant daughters, real African girls, then white girls from "European Africa" and of course local trannies, then transgender replaced by Brazilian waves of Tgirls, then Latinas and even sometimes Asian. Thailand is or was just a stop on my road of mongering . I understood a few years ago that "promises" of price and quality described in an old post by Stickman Bangkok around 2008 were out of date. I don't really mind since I often had the feeling I discovered the scene when it was about to vanish in many countries either in Western or Eastern Europe or in Thailand, so I am used to looking fornew treasuries every 5 or 10 years. So let Thailand collapse. Old mongers who are unable to adapt will still find a scene with clean bars and clean bathrooms for the girls or ladyboys and prices as high as in Greman brothels, and even maybe periodic health checks imposed on whores. I will keep on reading posts in PY to see snobs show off they can still pay and other old 'lows cry that the good old time won't come back. I don't know where I will be mongering then. I noticed a new deal in the decade before Covid. Not only Thai people are becoming better off, but more and more young cheap sluts develop road side hook up along American highways while prohibition is spreading in Europe. We are becoming tomorrow's poor countries. Before this really happens,we will find opportunities at home or in neighbouring countries. That'll be my pleasure since searching has become a part of the game for me.

I chase ladyboys. I chased them to all over the USA, and then through Mexico, Cambodia, Thailand, Philippines, and with little success Cuba. Probably the reason there were so many more in Thailand and Philippines is due to the relative poverty of the countries, and the necessity of formal sex work (thailand) and informal or gray market sex work (Philippines) to survive in countries that are relatively poor. Although, this is really a sad statement because the implication is that young men are putting on women's clothes to prostitute themselves out of economic necessity and not because they were in fact transgender, and unable to earn income due to discrimination against ladyboys. The bottom line: if you are looking for cheap whores, then the cheapest ones will always be in countries whose political leadership can't get it together to unify the country, and move it forward economically. My perception is that even though to many westerners Thailand may not seem politically "cool", they actually attempt to upgrade their population. So Rom, you are absolutely correct, we can expect Thailand ladyboys very soon to be on par with western ladyboys in terms of pricing as their economy continues to improve. So the days of "cheap whores" in thailand are numbered, and from my perspective that is not necessarily a bad thing.

The soil is just that soil , there would be contaminants floating around in the air and in rain drops that fall on the soil sure. The tin tray is NOT galvanised and cleaned and fresh water is boiled on it before the first bach of salty water is produced just to get that oily film and other contaminants that you would find on the tin tray. I would say it is more pure than the salt you buy from your store back home .

Well its that time of year again when we start making salt , we had already started scraping the salty soil in to a pile and today we made the bath tub like beds to wash the salt out of the soil. Doa got up extra early still in her sleeping outfit to help me cart water to wash the salt. [ A recap from last year ]The water will take up to 48 hours to seep through the soil ( topping up a few times ) then it will be boiled over a BBQ type set up to evaporate the water and the salt is left to dry and bag up for selling .
