Trump had his attorney general drop charges against a friend who confessed twice to a crime involving Trump and commuted the sentence of another. Trump has made the virus much worse by not coordinating a federal response. Trump has fired every cabinet level appointee or government department head that he can that says something he doesn't agree with. And that is just the tip of the iceburg. He is making himself as close to a dictator as possible. And Trump doesn't give a shit about masks. I'm a hell a lot more worried about Trump subjugating the American people, and laws, than some mask orders. It's been 4 days since the previous post. I am back in America. And this non-TR ends now! The bad news came out tonight at the Southeastern Asian time : there is new Covid19 outbreak in Đà Nẵng, Vietnam. I have found no confirmation in press releases but 2 ladyboys passed me on the information. According to one of them, Chinese people infected Vietnam again. More seriously, it turns up that (a) new clusters appeard in the area of Đà Nẵng in Central Vietnam. According to our experience in Europe, after a first wave about 1 % of people remained infested without symptoms of Covid and the virus kept on traveling. Here, people went on holidays and forgot or decided not to respect social distanciations. Younger people get infested and sick in what seems to be a second wave (Europe). One shouldn't underestimate the effects of propaganda in Vietnam since the Socialist Republic had announced zero casualty. In Vietnam or in any other place in the world, we won't get rid of this virus as long as people will keep on transmitting it. Vaccines seem to be the only solution to stop it.

Not good news for me. Tui have already cancelled their flights to Espana so I will have to wait and see what Jet2 holidays (who I have booked with) will do. The Mayor of Benidorm is still encouraging Brits to travel there, and from what I have seen from numerous videos they have been very thorough in safety measures in preventing this pandemic spreading. On a good note my booking does entitle me to a full cash refund should I desire instead of a holiday voucher (to use at a later date) should Jet2 have to cancel my holiday, or if I do get the voucher I can go elsewhere to the Canary or Balearic Islands

It's especially ludicrous hearing the anti-mask "logic" on a forum centered on Thailand, a country of 75 million people and 58 (!!) covid deaths. I was there when the pandemic hit, and I remember having to apply sanitizer and get my temperature taken before entering a building or getting on the BTS. I remember everyone, almost without exception, wearing masks. "Y'know, every health professional in the world says wearing a mask will help me protect myself and others from the coronavirus.
