  1. I wouldn't fancy the food in the above post 'too mutt' tbh I had a very enjoyable Xmas Day starting with a few beers at my local with good friends, followed by Dinner at my Parents and other Family aided by a bottle of Yellowtail Shiraz . I still had to wear my Black 'Bah Humbug' hat though

  2. Being new to this forum, and only somewhat familiar with the other forum for which you are a moderator, I am reluctant to become embroiled in this wee row. Nevertheless, I feel compelled to offer a few thoughts. Firstly, is it advisable, sir, for you to openly discuss the banishment of members from your fiefdom on this forum? Might I suggest that it is not advisable, for numerous reasons. Secondly, is it advisable for you to commingle your roles as a forum moderator on another forum, bar promoter for your lover, and board member on this forum? I think not. I offer these thoughts with the purest of intentions. Think on it, mate.

  3. I'd echo SP's words about the photos BB. In fact I might put in a bid for the blue plastic chair - especially if Paxky will sit in it again. Zaza is great, and I can't wait to get back down there.

  4. I believe you but I am also surprised to read it. It's really unbelievable. I also read today that expats in Patts posted insults against me in their forum, but of course such posts are allowed intuitu personae. The problem with individuals like the Pyongyang clique is that they are just unable to limit their grip on the only forum they have managed to take control. They need to spread their small judgement all over the community of mongers to try to keep on their censorship in other forums. The owner of a bar and censor in Pyongyang shouldn't be allowed to flame members in another forum. He should stay in his domain.

  5. Don't know why I am posting this, but here goes. What colour were carrots originally??. Ok give up. Purple. The Dutch changed the colour to orange. Their National colour.

  6. It has been a tough year all round Mr.P ,we have been getting our regular customers per day . In previous years I have been to the beer garden in low season and couldn't get a seat , you do have to feel for the workers as well , rents don't drop because its quiet in town and they all have to eat . Best of luck to all businesses this next year and the baht gets a little weeker to bring back the tourists that spend money and not just follow a red flag .

  7. More data points being established as to whether this will be the worst high season ever for Pattaya businesses. Really ominous was how empty Pattaya Beer Garden was tonight. In prior years it would be packed on Christmas Night. Clientele: Farang Sex Tourist My girlfriend had only 4 massages today. While that's not bad as it's a tiring job, Christmas week last year had days with 7 and 8 massages. Clientele: More women than men. Traffic coming to and from Jomtien: Much lighter than previous peak seasons. Clientele: Russian

  8. Good idea. Keep on moderating Pyongyang and stop posting here. Back to bars : I have nothing to change to what I posted almost 5 years ago regarding bars and ladyboys in Thailand. There are places though where bar owners are honest and work hard without having the advantage of using a forum. I found great ladyboys in bars. I guess the crisis is lighter for honest people.

  9. Another data point, today she had seven customers for a total of eight massage hours. But Boxing Day is often a busy day for massage shops.

  10. Made it to Da Nang. Checked into my hotel, changed and went for a nice long swim in the ocean. Then I went back to the hotel got cleaned up and had lunch. Amazing ocean view from the restaurant. Not sure if it’s because of the time of year, but the weather has been awesome here; low 80s during the day and low 70s at night. Water temp I’d guess was around the middle 70s. That’s pretty close to perfect, for me. Went to Hoi An which was nice, if a bit crowded and touristy. Lots of Koreans and Ozzies. Pics to follow.

  16. Hi Petesie thanks for posting! I am just using the reply function to capture your post before you come to your senses and edit or erase it. I would like to point out some contradictions, but not today. It’s Christmas Day and my heart is filled with Joy. In the meantime, here’s a mea culpa reminder of the kind of Board-hostile contributions that so deservedly got me crucified by you and the rest of the Politburo at Pyongyang: Merry Christmas BMs one and all ! … and stay tuned

  17. Have been enjoying Da Lat. The place is lovely, cool, and beautiful. I’m staying at an awesome boutique hotel called Zen Valley. Just had one of the best massages ever, from what I later realized was an autistic girl. Took the cable car up to a temple complex and a lake. The scenery is awesome. The temple grounds and gardens were the highlight of the outing. Lots of greenery, flowers and butterflies with dappled sun light, breezes and the sounds of water, ahhhh. Was able to finally start to relax a bit. No mongering here that I can see. This place would be ideal for a honeymoon.

  18. The big party last night was TJ's; brilliant night by all accounts. Newbar was quiet but friendly, 50 Kungs Hotdogs were provided plus sandwiches & finger food, just a way of saying thanks to all the guys who take the time to drop in from time to time, no drama.

  19. Your agenda is pretty transparent. This is a completely different forum which shouldn't be subject to personal inferences, historical differences or grievances.

  20. I thought about ordering a takeaway Xmas dinner this year to eat at home alone, but in the end I didn't bother. Instead I stocked up on things to eat at home so I can avoid the crowds and the over-inflated prices for what is essentially a glorified Sunday dinner, but with turkey and sprouts. At time of posting here in Pattaya it is 13:55, in England it is 06:55. In around one hour I shall deliver my Xmas gift to my Mum & Dad which comes in the form of a long long distance telephone call using normal phone service lines with discount prefix, as opposed to a cheap charlie LINE phone call, so they can use the cordless landline phone at home instead of struggling with the smartphone. Mum will be reading in bed, so Dad can take it up there with him and use speaker phone. Here in Pattaya it will be another day spent on my own, perhaps the worst day of the year, second only to New Year's Eve/New Year. For an HSP the noise, crowds, squeeling whores and idiot tourists I can be in no better place. However, if I could 'teleport' anywhere in an instant I would teleport back home for Xmas dinner with my Mum & Dad.
