I must admit to the odd dable with one particular favourite of mine, it started off with Her in the shower and then escalated to one time that stands out was on Her bed, She had just finished giving my tonsils a going over when I reckoned it would be a good idea for Her to pee down my throat, I had a warning from Her that once She started I had to take it all as She wouldn't be happy if it got on the bed, well that was music to my ears.

I'll never forget being in County Meath with my daughter in late June, hanging out on the banks of Lough Sheelin late into the evening outside our lovely bed and breakfast; it was close to 11pm and still just kind of gray out, not even really dark yet. I took this pic that night, maybe around 9 or 930. Compared to Thailand, which is usually about 6:30 pm year 'round, and even this part of the USA - we barely make it till 8:45 on the solstice - that is some great extra time to stay outdoors and have fun.

At least in the top 10! Capone and a few others surely gave him a run for his money, but there's no doubt that James "Whitey" Bulger left a mark and he is considered the most dangerous and feared Irish-American mobster ever. He ruled Boston from the mid-60's until the early 90's, all with the help of crooked FBI agents and local cops, as well as his younger brother Bill Bulger, who was the Speaker of the Massachusetts state senate! Black Mass was one of the best books ever on this piece of trash, who is now in his 80's and rotting away in federal prison for killing more than 20 people and extorting dozens of others while also controlling prostitution and drugs in Boston for 25 years. The book is now made into a movie starring Johnny Depp, which comes out in the fall; here are the trailers for it. Can't wait to see this one.

Although the solstice is a month away, Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial start of summer in the States. One of my favorite weekends, not as hot as July 4th, and Labor Day is kind of depressing with back to school memories. Have fun at the Jersey Shore, Cape Cod, Fire Island, or wherever you go to get out of town!

Irish gay marriage brings Armagayddon

Great news indeed for both the advancement of equality and a further blow to church influence in state affairs . The great Irish socialist James Connolly foreseen the dangers of Ireland partitioned over a hundred years ago when he predicted we would have two states both reactionary and church controlled - " A carnival of reaction " was his term and a carnival of reaction is what we got . A southern state controlled by the superstitions and reactions of the Catholic Church and an equally repressive northern state run by Protestant bigots . Thankfully the times they are a changing as new generations shake off the superstitious shit that has held them back for centuries . How ironic that the south is now further advanced than the north , recently the Protestant led majority overruled the progressives on a vote on gay marriage in the N I Assembly .

My favourite time of the year is here, the months either side of June 21 with warm long days and mild nights. Was in Los this time last year and really missed daylight till after 10 pm.

Oh, there's no question about that.....not to mention the burden of guilt and shame which had to be carried around by millions of people because of those ASSHOLE catholic scumbags. I would hope the yes vote was indeed a very strong rejection of their worthless dogma.

Thought the final show was pretty good. Going to miss Dave. Over the past 33 years, it's hard to think of someone I've spent more time with.

Fantastic news and if a formerly conservative Catholic country like Ireland can accept same sex marriage, the US conservatives should finally see the light instead of telling the Pope to stay out of politics!
