  6. I remember watching U-Turn years ago and immediately loved it, back then I didn't really know who J.Lopez was and thought she was stunning. I have it on DVD and have watched it numerous times. A Bronx Tale is one of my all time favourites of the gangster genre, simply excellent. Years ago I went through a phase of buying almost any DVD with De Niro in and I don't recall being disappointed, although this one is a major stand-out movie and I've watched it many times. Another of the gangster genre (my favourite genre) which could do battle for first place in my list (it's so hard to choose) is perhaps Once Upon A Time In America. For me this is a most excellent (but very long) movie. There are a few quiet periods in it, but I never get tired of watching it.

  7. I'm not much of an Ahnuld/Terminator fan. I think he is/was sociopath when he was a bodybuilder and recently just another good for nothing fucking Republican politician Never seen any of the Bourne movies. The concept from what I could gather, didn't grab me I guess.

  8. Wow. Just wow. Ok, love Tarrantino, love almost everything he's done. Disliked Inglorious Basterds. Have it on BluRay as - even though I disliked it - it's still Tarrantino so it's worth owning and rewatching. I've not watched it since it's opening night in a theater in Vancouver BC at a midnight showing. I'll watch it again and get back to you. Hopefully, like great music, it's one that will grow on me and didn't reveal it's charms the first time. Godfather & Godfather II - you gotta be pullin' my leg. You guys have great taste, you oughta love 'em. I think Godfather II is the better film overall, but love the pacing and setup in Godfather I. And watching the new Coppola BluRay restoration of all 3 films that completely cleans up the old prints is amazing, especially the special features. They talk about the photography of Gordon Willis, in particular how he achieved the look of that opening scene. Gave me a whole new appreciation for the film. http://www.monstersa...rney_to_Blu-ray BUT: don't watch Godfather 3. One of the worst pieces of cinematic shit that's ever been displayed on my monitor. Beyond abysmal. Yes, Mad Max 2 was called "The Road Warrior" in North America, because Mad Max wasn't a hit here (unlike Europe and Australia). In America, the original was distributed by American International Pictures (AIP) - famous for the 60's drive-in flicks and Edgar Allan Poe films starring Vincent Price as well as the Beach Party films featuring Annette Funicello and Frankie Avalon. They (AIP) feared that American audiences wouldn't understand the Aussie accents so they redubbed the entire film and dropped it onto unsuspecting drive-in's and hardtops in 1980 with little/no promotion. So when the 2nd film was distributed here by Warner Brothers they went all out with the marketing and thought a new name would be more attractive than marketing it as the sequel to a flop, and their strategy proved right. I've still got an enormous 40x60 promotional poster from it's original theatrical engagements in my collection, and it's worth upwards of $500 today. By the way, I keep hearing rumors of a remake of Mad Max 2 but can't find anything to confirm it on the 'net. Lastly - you have to be shitting me with "Hangover II". I thought they liked the first film so much they just made it a second time, but without the humor and surprises.

  9. Hey Lefty, It is not at all unusual to see younger women with older guys here. Not sure what kind of luck you would have with girls in their 20s. That would depend on the girl; if she is from a lower working class background, and is in "the game," then of course, you would have no problem. If she is a "nice" girl from a burgiouse family, then your chances are pretty much what they would be in the U.S., that is, pretty much nil, unless you are super good looking and very well-off, have been veted by the family, and your intentions are seen to be pure. Then there are what are called "pre-pagos," the literal translation is pre-paid. These are nice middle class, educated girls, who are essentially high-end escorts, that you can take out to a nice dinner, a night on the town, then take them back to your hotel room and fuck them silly. I've seen some of these girls, and they are truly stunning. Nothing the least bit trashy about them-class all the way. That said, I am in my 50s, and I have been getting all kinds of attention from hot babes, some of them in their 20s. I think they dig my accent, so it is not impossible just depends on you, the girl and the context. I'll be in Medellin through August 22. Lemme know if you are planning to be in the country before then. We can meet up for a drink or two and a basic orientation. Cheers.

  11. Hmmmmmm, I have to be honest and say it is really, really difficult for me to move from my Corner bar encounters with An (Aun) to seeing her now today moving and grooving like any other gal out there in the ether. Aun is bright, intuitive, alert, business minded, honest, trustworthy, reliable, loyal and true like ice, like fire. Such a waste for someone to not take her away from this stuff (I am sure she hates) and tap her strengths for better yields for both parties. Makes me wonder how many other bright minds are going to waste out there.
