If I know someone reasonable well then I'm honest about what I get up to. Where I work there are only four other people I work with at the moment and three of them know I go with ladyboys, the forth hasn't been their long so it hasn't cropped up yet. It would depend if they have a transmitter close enough to the Cambodia side. If there is a Thai city/town/village just on the other side of the border, odds are that it might work. If the Thai city/town/village is a good distance away from the border, then probably not. The other option is to enable roaming, but the charges for that are quite a bit higher.

Nice tutorial BB. Photography is a hobby I certainly enjoy but don't do nearly enough of it. I bought myself a FujiFilm fs100 bridging camera on the advice of bigtel, as he had one similar and loved it. My camera is a fixed lense 28mm - 400mm meaning I am able to take a variety of shots close up and at distance without the need to change lenses. We all know that the lense is the expensive part of this hobby unfortunately and for those more seriously into it, I expect them to go for the canon, nikon or olympus (various models) where they can have multiple lenses for specific landscapes, portraits and glamour. Also having different filters also helps depending on the setting. I'm still learning about the features on my camera, but it's still fun getting out there and snapping away.. Practice makes perfect.
